Quantum entanglement is a phenomenon in quantum physics where two or more particles

become interconnected in such a way that the state of one particle instantly
influences the state of the other, regardless of the distance separating them. This
means that if you measure the state of one entangled particle, you can immediately
know the state of the other particle, even if it is light-years away. This peculiar
relationship challenges our classical understanding of locality and causality.

The concept was famously described by Albert Einstein, who referred to it as

"spooky action at a distance." He, along with physicists Boris Podolsky and Nathan
Rosen, presented the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) paradox in 1935, arguing that
quantum mechanics might be incomplete because of this strange behavior.

Entanglement has been experimentally confirmed and is now a fundamental aspect of

quantum mechanics. It plays a crucial role in various emerging technologies,
including quantum computing, quantum cryptography, and quantum teleportation. In
quantum computing, entangled qubits can perform complex calculations at speeds
unattainable by classical computers. In quantum cryptography, entanglement can be
used to create secure communication channels that are theoretically immune to
eavesdropping.

Overall, quantum entanglement not only deepens our understanding of the quantum
world but also opens up exciting possibilities for future technologies that could
revolutionize information processing and communication.
