Space colonization
• Space colonization is permanent human habitation
and exploitation of natural resources off the
planet Earth
• The primary argument calling for space colonization is
the long-term survival of human civilization. By
developing alternative locations off Earth, the planet's
species, including humans, could live on in the event
of natural or man made disasters on earth
• In 2001, Stephen Hawking predicted that the human
race would become extinct within the next thousand
years, unless colonies could be established in space
• MAKE SPACE CRAFTS TO LIVE FOR A
LONGER TIME PERIOD.
• ARRANGE THE REQUIREMENTS IN THE
SPACE CRAFT.
STEPS HOW TO
• 20 PEOPLE TO GO TO TEST IF WE CAN
COLONIZE SPACE LIVE IN SPACE
• IF THE PEOPLE CAN LIVE LONGER TIME
THEN WE CAN SEND MORE PEOPLE FOR
SPACE COLONIZATION.
INFORMATION
• No space colonies have been built so far.
• Currently, the building of a space colony
would present huge technological and
economic challenges.
• Space settlements would have to
provide for nearly all the material needs
for Millions of humans, in an
environment out of Earth which is very
Hostile to human life.
DISTANCE FROM EARTH TO
SPACE.

• 62 MILES(100 KILOMETERS)IS
THE SHORTEST DISTANCE FROM
EARTH TO SPACE WHICH BY
GENERALLY PLANET BOUNDRY
ENDS AND SPACE BEGINS.

SPACE TECH
» “Space technology” is a technology that was developed by space
science for use in astronauts, for purposes such as space-flight or
space exploration.
» Space tech involves spacecraft , space station .Satellites and other
infrastructure(equipments).
» Helps us in day to day life by helping the satellites in forecasting
weather , helps in GPS and many other ways.
» The “Sputnik 1” was able to launch with the help of “Space
Technology”.

» Similarly , for the beginning of our colonization process in Space,

“Space Technology” will prove to be very much helpful in providing
us many things
ASTEROID MINING
Asteroid mining is the exploitation of raw materials
from asteroids and other minor planets, including near-Earth objects.
Hard rock minerals could be mined from an asteroid or a
spent comet. Precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum
group metals could be transported back to Earth, while iron
group metals and other common ones could be used for construction
in space.
EXTRACTION OF
MATERIALS
• 1.Asteroid mining is the exploitation of raw
materials from asteroids and other minor
planets including near-earth objects.
• 2.Hard rocks minerals could be mined from an
asteroid .
• 3.precious metals such as gold , silver and
Platinum could be transported back to earth .
ADVANTAGES
1. Space travel may help us to find extra-terrestrial
life.
2. We may find other planets to colonize .
3. Space exploration can offer almost endless
opportunities .
4. Scientists from all over the world can work
together to make colonization easier for people.
5.Also private corporations can help in funding for
expenses for space colonization
❑ Our current technology makes it
SPACE COLONIZATION
DISADVANTAGES OF
dangerous to get into space in the
first place.
❑ Astronauts receive exposure to
natural dangers while in space.
❑ Space Colonization creates a lot of
trash around our planet.
❑ It could cause us harm or provide
harm to other species in space. ..
❑ It creates high-level pollution
events. .
❑ it may cause our planet to face
unknown problems
Other Facts about Space colonization
❑ Building colonies in space would require access to
water, food, space, people, building materials,
energy, transportation, communications, life
support, simulated gravity, radiation protection
and money
❑ Launching things from Earth is expensive, so it is
better if the materials come from the place of the
colony.
❑ Some national space programmes see space
colonization as a long-term goal.
❑ The primary argument calling for space
colonization is the long-term survival of human
civilization
❑ By developing alternative locations off Earth, the
planet's species, including humans, could live on in
the event of natural or man-made disasters on our
own planet.
