HAND OVER NOTES

VESSEL NAME: MT OXALIS JASMINE


RANK: CHIEF ENGINEER
DEPARTMENT: ENGINE
DATE/TIME: 29 OCTOBER 2022/17:00 HRS

1. MAIN ENGINE
 When vessel underway to Terminal, control of Main Engine will be on the Bridge.
 Maintain RPM as per Table Instruction near Handle Control
 Maintain RPM at 190 if Vessel underway and 180 if Discharging Cargo
 If vessel anchorage more than 3 days, please warming up about 1 hour and RPM at 190 for 10 minutes.
 If vessel moving for first time after anchorage more than 3 days, inform Master that need to hold RPM at
half ahead position about 30 minutes before increase to full ahead (RPM 190)
 Always update Running Hours every day at Noon time
 Follow Monthly PMS for maintenance and update for any complete Jobs
 Update Spare parts Inventory (File can be found in ECR Computer Desktop) if consume or receive any
spare parts and send to Superintendent by Email every month.

2. Auxiliary Engine Generator


 Change over between Generator No #1 & #2 every 3 days
 Follow Monthly PMS for maintenance and update for any complete Jobs
 Always update Running Hours every day at Noon time (File can be found in ECR Computer Desktop)
 Update Spare parts Inventory (File can be found in ECR Computer Desktop) if consume or receive any
spare parts and send to Superintendent by Email every month.

3. Cargo Oil Pump

 Advise to Chief Officer to use No #1 for odd Voyage and No #2 for Even Voyage
 Maintain discharge pressure in Pump Room Maximum 0.78 MPa
 Once complete discharge, print out Temperature & Pressure Record then send by Email to Superintendent

4. Main Air Compressor

 If Vessel anchorage or alongside, maintain Operation time of No #1 from 0600-1800 and No #2 from 1800-
0600. If vessel underway or maneuvering, keep both compressor “Auto Start”.
 Replenish Lube oil crankcase and change HP Valve (Suct & Disch) every month with ready spare.
 Remind Duty Engine Crew to always drain Main Air Bottle every 4 Hours and before start Main
Engine/Auxiliary Engine Generator.
 Follow Monthly PMS for maintenance and update for any complete Jobs
 Update Spare parts Inventory (File can be found in ECR Computer Desktop) if consume or receive any
spare parts and send to Superintendent by Email every month.

5. Other Machinery, Safety Equipment, and Paperwork


 Change over all service pumps (Sea water, Cool FW, Jacket Cool FW, FO Supply, etc.) every month
 Change over provision machinery every 2 months
 Carried out Saturday test safety equipment based on PMS and update in File (can be found in ECR
Computer) then print out at the end of month.
 Update Oil Record Book for any transfer activity and every Saturday for weekly regular updates
 Calculate daily consumption of gas oil, lube oil (M/E) & (A/E) every noon time and type daily engine
activity report at CCR Computer Desktop.
 Make Engine Near Miss Report (File can be found in ECR Computer Desktop) every month and ask Chief
Officer for Record Number.
 Take and Record Ship Operation Record once every month then send by email to Superintendent.
 All Spare parts of Machinery located inside Engine Workshop and All Running store & Electrical located
inside Engine Store Room.
 Make Bunker Condition Report every once Alongside Jetty Terminal if Vessel Carried Chevron &
Exxonmobil Cargo.
 Follow Monthly PMS for maintenance and update for any complete Jobs
 Update Spare parts Inventory (File can be found in ECR Computer Desktop) if consume or receive any
spare parts and send to Superintendent by Email every month.
 Engine PMS, PMS Maintenance Report, General & Electrical Running Store, Own use Bunker Statement,
Lube Oil Abstract Log to be send by email at the end of every month.
