• Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) is a surveillance
technology in which an aircraft determines its position via satellite navigation and periodically broadcasts it.

• Planes use GPS to determine their position


Broadcast over 1090Mhz (978Mhz for GA) at 1Hz to ATC
Contains Aircraft ID, altitude, position lat/lon, bearing, speed Two forms: ADS-B Out and ADS-B In
