A GENERAL
1 All necessary shop drawings submitted to and approved by OIC Y N NA
2 Detail design and proposal for supply and installation of Y N NA
aluminium windows, doors and panels itemised in the schedule
are submitted as per requirements
3 All necessary catalogue and technical specification of entire Y N NA
material submitted to and aprroved by OIC prior to purchase
4 All necessary test certificates/factory certificates from Y N NA
manufacturers or MOD certified laboratories submitted to and
approved by OIC (if specified)
5 All samples are displayed properly at work site with proper Y N NA
labelling and all materials properly inspected prior to fabrication
6 Workplace health and safety requirements for fabrication and Y N NA
installation of metal works , including personal protection needs,
are identified and observed throughout the work
B FABRICATION
1 All material stored properly as per manufacturer's instruction and Y N NA
covering material is applied where necessary to protect existing
fixtures and coating etc.
2 All the ferrous material, stainless, aluminium, galvanised coatings Y N NA
on iron and steel, sherardised coating members, chromium
plating and other specified material are in scale, in proper
dimension & free from defects etc. as per contract requirements
3 Fabrication method, cutting to length, jointing works etc. as Y N NA
appropriate/as per manufacture’s instruction
4 Fabrication, welding, bolting, priming and installation are carried Y N NA
out by skilled tradesmen in accordance with the best trade
practice
5 Work sequence (fabrication and installation etc.) is properly Y N NA
planned in a logical order to suit the site condition
6 Tools, equipment etc. are selected and checked prior to use to Y N NA
ensure that they are appropriate for the nature of the work,
serviceable and in a safe condition
C INSTALLATION
1 All the defective frames, members etc. are reported for repair or Y N NA
replacement in accordance with workplace procedures
2 All metal frames and panels are checked for type, size, thickness Y N NA
and imperfections etc., both on drawings and on site before
commencement of fabrication
3 Solvents and sealants are used/applied in accordance with Y N NA
manufacturer's recommendation
4 All screws, nuts, bolts, rivets, washers, fixing anchors, supporting Y N NA
members, hangers, bracings, brackets, straps etc. as per
specification and are of an approved brand

5 The deviations on overall sizes of an assembled frame are Y N NA
maintained within ± 1.5mm or a permissible limit as per
specification
6 Exposed surfaces of assemblies supplied and installed are Y N NA
protected by a temporary strippable plastic film coating or
polythene film wrapping (if necessary)
7 All the metal fabrication, installation and finishing works are Y N NA
carried out as per construction drawing/as per contract
requirements
D CLEANING AND SURFACE PREPARATION
1 Excess sealing material, metal portion, bolts, rivets, etc. removed Y N NA
from the finished surface and glass and frames are cleaned after
fixing
2 All the waste and scrap material are properly removed for Y N NA
disposal or recycling as required
3 Entire work area is cleaned and left in a safe condition and Y N NA
rubbish removed from work area and disposed off site properly
E COMPLETION
1 Completed installation is checked to ensure compliance with Y N NA
contract requirements, specifications etc.
2 All paint or metal finishing in good condition without any damage Y N NA
on the surface
3 Provided warranty certificates, as-built drawing etc. for record Y N NA
purposes
4 Checked and ensured all metal work complies with current Health Y N NA
and Safety Regulations
5 Arranged final inspection to ensure the entire installation works Y N NA
are approved
