leadership that shall survive crises.

OPEN FORUM

From Ley of UIC Question for Miss Hya and Sir Jorjani: What drives you to stand for your
advocacies as a youth leader despite the negativities you encountered and the criticisms you
faced?

As student leaders, we often talk about serving and pursuing our purpose. But as we
approach adulthood, what if we don't know what it is yet? When were you able to say that
you found your purpose?

How do we encourage aspiring youth leaders to stand and lead the way despite of the
occurrence of poor leadership in our country?”

FROM RUFFA FROM ACD Any thoughts naman sa role of the Government for Free
Education, lalong-lalo na sa panahon ngayon na may pandemic. Maraming mga students
ang tumigil sa pag-aaral?
PS: Good thing naman yung may mga pa Scholarship/Financial Assistance.

Mark from ACD I have a question for sir JORJANI

WOULDN'T IT BE BETTER FOR A STUDENT LEADER TO BE INVOLVED AND /OR
CONCERNED INTO MULTI-SECTORIAL ISSUES? RATHER THAN FOCUSING ON ONE?

K: Thank you so much for the participation of everyone and of course to our speaker and
storytellers, for sharing your knowledge. I hope guys na marami kayong natutunan. Moving
forward, to extend gratitude to our speaker and storytellers this afternoon, May we call on the
OSA Director of Rizal Memorial Colleges Inc. Mr. Amado Ancla for the awarding of the
certificate of appreciation.

AWARDING OF CERT

L: Once again thank you to our speaker, Reycel Hyacenth Bendaña. And to our storytellers, Mr.

INTRODUCTION OF KEYNOTE SPEAKER 2

HON. TYRON UY (NATION BUILDING) Governor, Province of Davao de Oro

As young leaders we are always asked to participate in nation-building – that is, a nation
building that is about convergence, empowering the least among us, to stand for the truth,
to listen, and to CREATE AN INCLUSIVE SOCIETY.

Don't just settle by being powerful, instead be empowering

A message from Andy of Capiz State University “I salute you, Gov., for seeing the problems
in your community with yourself. Being an on-hand public servant is far from those who lead
by sitting in their chairs and offices. God bless your leadership. “

And also a message from Maam Marianne of University of Mindanao OSA This is a very
good input to our young leaders/ student officers....letting them get in touch with
reality...active listening is indeed important...difficult to do but fulfilling to achieve...Salamat
po Gov. Uy.

L: Thank you so much to our speaker, Gov. Tyron Uy (comments sa talk). To proceed, let us get
to know our last storyteller for this afternoon. To introduce, we have with us the Director of
Student Affairs of Ateneo de Davao University, Ms. Theresa Eliab. A virtual round of applause
please.

INTRODUCTION OF STORYTELLER
STORYTELLER 3: RENZ ALLAN LACORTE SAMAHAN President, Ateneo de Davao
University

K: Thank you so much to our last storyteller this afternoon. Sabi nga ni Renz Every story is
unique and to add with that is a message from Mr. Ladesma of Compostela Valley State
College
Every story is unique and the best way to tell a story is to tell from the heart.

Cris Ann from RMC Storytelling is a unique way for us to gain a better understanding,
reverence, and empathy for other cultures, as well as foster a positive attitude toward people of
all races, faiths, and backgrounds.

A message from Mr. Andy of Capiz State University “I am not from Mindanao, but I am a
Filipino and part of me is Mindanao. I am one with your hopes and aspirations, the reason why
we are here today.”
To Mr. Renz Lacorte, daghang salamat.

L: At this juncture, we will be entertaining questions from our participants. If you have
concerns/questions to our speaker or storyteller, feel free to type it in the comment box. More
so, you can raise your hand or unmute yourself once recognized.

(while waiting for your questions, magtatanong muna tayo from our delegates Lloyd. may we
ask the technical team to spotlight anyone?)
OPEN FORUM
From RMC Ivy Joy Campeon Del Pilar
As a student leader at a young age how can you handle stress? also how you lift up your
co-officers?

From Christine Joy D Rosales

What are the roles that the Youth leaders play in the middle of the process of nation-
building regarding the context of police killings/armed conflicts? Thank you.

To renz: what are the best practices of the student govt you are leading now that we are all
online?

What are the student roles in peace-building? How can we encourage other students to
take part in changing the society?

Last!!! As a Youth leader, what was the most challenging experience that you have
encountered and how did you overcome it ?

CAPSU/ ANDY When is the time to say "No" to a leadership call? With all the issues and
criticisms our government is facing all the time, it seems that to be in public service means
burden and full self-sacrifice.

HAHAHAH NAAY NAGRAISE HAND GANIHA SI NAVARRO
