Additional Comments:
Students must successfully complete one of the following options:

1. Non-Thesis Option: Students must complete at least 30 credits of coursework which includes at
least one of the ELE courses numbered higher than 700.

2. Thesis Option: Students must complete at least 24 credits of coursework together with ELE 798
and ELE 799.

The non-thesis and the thesis option require completion of the program’s four Core courses. All
courses must be completed with a grade of B or better. Ordinarily, all of the 30 credits will be derived
from Electrical Engineering courses taken at the College of Staten Island. However, graduate courses
taken in other departments may be accepted for the degree with written approval of the Director of
the M.E.E.E. program. No more than 6 credits derived from courses taken outside the will be accepted
for the M.E.E.E. degree. Students in the non-thesis option may not receive credit for ELE 798 and ELE
799.

Master’s candidates must complete the required course work within a period of five years from the
date of admission.
