Energy Agency (IRENA) the project size of renewable energy sector has increased 72% since
2010 (IRENA, 2020). Rising concerns about climate change, which is coupled with the
depletion of conventional fossil fuels is having spurred a worldwide transition to renewable
energy-based technologies (Dimitrantzou et al., 2020, Trofymenko et al., 2021). Nations
across the globe are increasingly acknowledging the immense need to diversify their energy
portfolios that is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to enhance energy security (Aguilar
et al., 2021).
Data from UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is showing that
the energy capacity of the UK was reached to 48 gigawatts (GW) by 2020 (GOV.UK, 2023).
This transition is evident that is in the significant growth of renewable energy capacity which
is with solar and wind energy that is leading the way (Camacho et al., 2024, Nikseresht et al.,
2022). Governments, also industries and communities worldwide are investing that is heavily
in renewable energy-based infrastructure which is driven by a collective commitment that is
to achieving international climate goals such as those have been outlined in the Paris

management not only to meet their individual renewable energy targets but also that is to
contribute to broader international environmental goals (He et al., 2022, Al-Othman et al.,
2022). The collaborative exchange of best practices that is on a global scale further promotes
the effective utilization of AI which is for fostering innovation and advancements in case of
project management practices that is within the renewable energy sector (Şerban and Lytras,
2020).
In essence, the role of AI in Project Management that is within the Renewable Energy Sector
is a testament to the industry's commitment which is to harnessing cutting-edge technologies
for the sustainable energy production (Boza and Evgeniou, 2021, Ahmad et al., 2021).
Through global collaboration and for the integration of AI, the sector aims to not only meet
its immediate project management needs but also that contribute to a cleaner and more
efficient renewable energy in the landscape of worldwide (Chen et al., 2021).

2.6 Conclusion
The symbiotic relationship which is between AI and Renewable Energy Project Management
unveils a promising future. As AI automates tasks also for optimizing resources and to

provide data-driven insights, it becomes an indispensable ally that is in achieving sustainable
energy goals in this global system. The Renewable Energy Sector that is with its diverse
technologies which stands at the forefront of addressing environmental system of challenges.
The integration of AI propels this sector into a new era of efficiency and also for the
understanding of the innovation. The global perspective emphasizes on the collaborative
efforts to harness AI's potential that is for accelerating the transition to cleaner and to more
efficient energy solutions worldwide. In this dynamic intersection, the promise that is of a
greener and more sustainable is necessary to assure future beckons.
