 THE BEGINNING

Charismatic persons share one characteristic: They

never look the way we imagined them or as we would want
them to look; in the physical sense, of course. History has
shown that seemingly ordinary people, who do not stand
out from their surroundings and often lead a simple, but
hard life, achieve success as a charismatic, leading a
following of thousands of people. Seeking a rational
answer to the question of what it is that gives them this
unusual power is a waste of time, because the criteria of
the world of logic and reasoning, which govern this world,
cannot provide a satisfying explanation. Instead, they can
only deepen the confusion and doubt of one who is not
prepared to accept all the surprises of this reality with
peace of mind and open-mindedness. There are countless
religions, big and small, and they are outnumbered only by
various occult, spiritual and similar teachings. Since the
dawn of man, people have wanted to avoid the pain of loss,
whether it be the loss of a child, property or honor. All

efforts come down to seizing a moment of happiness,

respite or delight. Happiness is the highest goal to which a
human being aspires; even if it comes from drugs, alcohol,
gambling or some other vice. That is why the demons of
devastating vices cannot be stopped by anyone and even
the strongest faith is often not resistant to them. When man
is engulfed in the pain of life, his faith will weaken and
powerlessness will crush him. He will seek salvation in
anything, just so he can get rid of the unbearable pain.
Only the strongest are able to resist that pain and few are
able to also help the people around them.
Among the latter was Toplica Prokić, who was born in
a small town in Serbia exactly in the middle of the 20th
century, as the only child of a family that was not spared
life’s troubles. Prokić, called Ivica by everyone once he
had moved to Zagreb, most vividly remembered one event
from his childhood, which he mentioned in almost every
one of his books. At the age of seven, one sunny summer’s
day, little Toplica and other children were swimming in the
shallows of a nearby river. A vague memory, he later could
not recall why he had lost consciousness for a brief
moment. He would, however, describe his experience as
“the sun entering into his body through a spot on his
ankle”. In Ivica’s own words, the following had occurred:
“So, when I was a child, a little piece of the sun flew into
my leg, above my left ankle, and traveled through the body
all the way to my groin. It did not bother me until my
return from hospital, when it started to hurt. I went from
one doctor to the next, but nobody knew how to help me.
In fact, everybody was telling me how healthy I was, while
the pain kept recurring with every new moon at 2:10 in the
morning: then, in a vision, I would see a boy with a big
syringe approaching and stabbing me with it. The

following morning I would not be able to walk. My health

problems lasted for three years…”
At first glance, this is an account that has no foundation
in science, logic or anything spiritual. It could almost be
interpreted as a hallucination. Even a superficial
knowledge of Far Eastern teachings and abilities, however,
presents this boy’s unusual and bizarre experience by a
river in a completely different light. Firstly, the exact time
of 10 minutes past 2 in the morning, prompts us to check
which energetic meridian, according to traditional Chinese
medicine, affects the human body in the time between 1
and 3 in the morning. It is the “hepatic duct” and exactly
that is a mystery: why is that body part significant in many
of the world’s most famous healers? The peak of energy in
that meridian is exactly between 2 am and 2:10 am, which
is hard to dismiss as mere coincidence! And if we overlay
a copy of the hepatic duct onto the left side of the body, we
can easily see that the pain that Ivica Prokić describes
precisely follows the acupuncture points and the meridian
that rules his body in exactly those few minutes of the day.
Some Chinese wise man would say that in that moment the
mentioned meridian was “activated” or that within the
seven-year-old boy some hidden powers were awakened,
which will stay with him his whole life; – not always in a
pleasant way.
This event, crucial for his later life journey and the
work of Ivica Prokić, deserves some further interpretation,
above all because it is by far the most important moment in
the life of a man, who possessed abilities such as Prokić.
An interesting parable testifies how rare these abilities are.
The renowned American spiritual teacher, Byron Katie,
once said: “Imagine two trains moving towards each other
on opposite tracks. Each train has one door wide open.

You are standing at one of them. At one point you close

your eyes and step out that door. The chances that hidden
channels to the deepest wisdoms of the Universe open up
to you in your life time are as good as the chances that you
manage to step through the open door of the other train
exactly as it passes by …” This vivid allegory from a
person who, at the age of 43, had very similar experiences
to those of Ivica Prokić, actually wants to express that the
possibility of awakening dormant powers within a human
being, are fantastically, almost unimaginably small. That
little piece of the sun about which Ivica writes and speaks,
is that rare cosmic moment, so rare, that almost all
religions refer to it in one way or another.
Indian Yoga describes a power that is similar to a
snake and that is also a very frequent motif in later dreams
and visions of Ivica Prokić. They call the power Kundalini
and say that it is “wrapped three and a half times around
the lower part of the spine”. When it awakens and starts
moving toward the top of the head, then all the knowledge
of all of the spiritual universes in existence will surface.
That is the ultimate goal of spiritual evolution, the end of
all endings and what in Christianity is called Unio Mystica.
Even the smallest motion of this power in these focal
points called Chakras can trigger in people the
development of an ability to see future events, to peek into
the future, initiate distant healing and change people’s
destinies with just a gaze or touch. In the East this unusual
phenomenon of the sudden awakening of latent powers is
called Shaktipat, whereas our Western civilization does not
even have a name for it. Yoga, in principle, describes only
higher Chakras, which span from the bottom of the spine to
the top of the head. There are 300 of them, however, also
including some in the area of the ankles. Anyone who

knows something about yoga could easily assume, that in

Prokić’s case Kundalini was activated by coincidence and
in an unusual way traveled to its destination, the energetic
center located in the groins.
Events of the day and growing up in an unspoiled
environment enclosed by three mountains and untouched
nature concealed the awakening of Ivica Prokić. In that
pastoral environment, he grew up into a young man and as
it used to be common in the area, he married young. He
was only 21 years old and as an only child he enjoyed a
special love from his parents. For a real awakening,
unfortunately, often some traumatic event is necessary and
he did not escape this fate. Under unresolved
circumstances after only five months of marriage his
young spouse committed suicide and ever since then, death
has always accompanied this man, who at this point was
not even slightly aware of his role in life. Both a prediction
by an old man from a nearby mountain, that young Toplica
would encounter his destiny in “a city with as many people
as ants”, and his love for Zagreb from the first time he set
foot into the city, imply that personal tragedy had set in
motion that mysterious ray of sunlight in his spirit again.
The pace of destiny is accelerated by physical danger, to
which Prokić was exposed, due to his bride‘s family’s
suspicion that he had something to do with her suicide. It
did not stop at harsh words alone. Prokić managed to
dodge five bullets and finally had to depart westwards, in
search of his place under the sun, which he strongly
believed led him from within. He was still naïve, and so he
started the journey with hardly any money and with a
friend who promised him a job and a life where many
people search for it – by the sea.

In the end, nothing became of it and Prokić left for

Zagreb, where his life was anything but pleasant. He
worked in a warehouse, sold fish on the market in Utrina,
he started a new family, with two children to take care of.
Later, he would often recall those days when he barely
made ends meet. He admitted that he had even thought
about committing suicide, when he could not see a way out
of the trials that were placed before him by this force that
led him. Nevertheless, somewhere deep down inside, he
felt that there was a mission waiting for him, which he did
not dare speak about, not even to those people closest to
him. He noticed that he had more and more frequent
visions and one of them was strikingly reminiscent of the
astral planes as described by the most famous Eastern and
Western mystics, Emanuel Swedenborg being amongst
them.
He wrote somewhere: “I was resting when suddenly a
brilliant light appeared. It came closer to me, got a hold of
me and carried me away into the skies, all the way up to a
big castle. It was built completely out of gold and at the
same time completely transparent, as if it were made of
glass. Inside, it had stairs, 41 steps leading up to a crown,
five by five meters in size and around 170 centimeters tall.
The points of the crown were ornamented.”
These are not only descriptions of places similar to
those where human souls go once they fulfill their task on
Earth, but they are also an image rich with symbols
through which Prokić would more and more often express
himself, sometimes to a complete lack of understanding
from the people around him. The stairs led him to higher
forms of reality and they represent a constant striving to
rise above life situations, while the number five in relation
to the crown represents five elements, of which all the

material worlds of God’s creation are composed. These

were his personal visions, but they also represent
something universal, belonging to all people. This exact
fact would later pave his way.
Prokić started to associate with people of similar
occupations, bioenergetic therapists and those dealing with
energies the scientific world does not care about. These
encounters opened up new doors for him, prompting new
visions. And a simple massage to release suppressed
anxieties helped him to discover the best way to peek
behind the curtain that separated him from seeing unknown
dangers that threatened those who, following an inner
feeling, were turning to him for help. Various stories
would be told about this time when he used an old, small
mirror. Whether he was at the market in Utrina, amongst
ordinary people or at his friend’s apartment, Prokić never
worked without his favorite medium, the mirror, which he
said revealed the truth about everything that was connected
to those seeking his help. Hundreds of people claim that he
predicted important events in their lives, that he warned
them in time to avoid dangers or solved a family problem.
He said to be led by a Power or a Spiritual Guide. It is
meaningful that he warns of what literally all the spiritual
schools in the world warn about. Symbolically, the Evil or
Satan, as he calls it, comes from the left, whereas the Good
comes from the right hand side.
More and more Prokić emphasizes the two key
elements for his ascent: devotion to the Sun and the mirror,
which revealed complex symbolical scenes daily, among
which one could distinguish some historical events, such as
the breakup of Yugoslavia and the natural disasters that
followed. The sun has been a powerful symbol of worship
to the civilizations of the Old World; it is the Father while

the Earth is the Great Mother. Entire religions are based on

the belief in the Sun as the supreme deity, but some
individuals, too, manipulating the sun’s energies,
developed amazing powers. Some of them, like Hira Ratan
Maneka, had not eaten anything for seven years and they
sustained themselves with only the sun’s energy and one
glass of water a day! Some, like Sunyogi Umashankara,
are believed to have acquired the power of seeing into the
future by concentrating on the sun, while some Westerners,
like Dr. Barbara Moore, claimed that the power of the
sun’s energies is actually unlimited. Some Indian
alchemists, like Swami Vishuddhanande, could, with a
help of directed sunlight, bring deceased animals back to
life for a short period of time. Some others could appear in
many places at once. Supernatural powers, developed by
gazing at the Sun, were also demonstrated by the great
Catholic Saint Nicholas von Flüe, who, allegedly, was able
to live without food for months. By absorbing the sun’s
energies through the retina of the eye, the infinitely
powerful energy of the sun enters directly into the body,
which has been demonstrated by dozens of people. As
chlorophyll in plants transforms the sun’s energy into life
energy, hemoglobin within our blood cells does exactly the
same in our body. Even science has proved the similarity
between the greenery of plants and our blood in evolution
on Earth. Obviously, it should be emphasized here, that
gazing at the sun is a very, very dangerous practice, which
can lead to blindness, if it is not under constant supervision
by qualified experts.
Did the Sun not play with little Toplica in some
unusual way back in 1957 during an innocent splash in the
river?

Namely he claims that on several occasions, he found

himself in different places at the same time, which has
been confirmed by people who actually did see him at
those places. As he says, “…I had the opportunity at least a
dozen times to see myself doubled at the same time at
several locations…” Many mystics in the Catholic, Muslim
or Buddhist world similarly described their experiences
with this phenomenon known as “bi-location”.
The goal of alchemists is to transmute gold from
mercury or other base metals. This is not merely a
materialistic concept, but also a symbolic one, as there are
many magical beliefs that gold is the divine metal that
protects us from all evils, especially from the influence of
bad people. Gold is a protective metal of the sun, and until
the end of his mission, Prokić’s body would always be
adorned with at least one kilogram of golden jewelry. That
caused controversy, but Prokić was undeterred by that.
Because, as he said, it was to be protected by the sacred
metal, while absorbing the influences of the environment.
After all, ancient rulers of South America were painted
with gold dust so they would be protected from all evils
and dangers. It would later turn out that the only occasion
on which he deviated from that practice proved fatal for
Prokić.
Prokić’s mission, whose symbol is a stylized sun, has
since been established at the address Srebrnjak 1, where
long lines of people began to form. Days of poverty and
constantly moving from one apartment to another are a
thing of the past. Nobody calls him Prokić any longer, now
he is just Ivica to everyone. Testimonials about an unusual
man with a little mirror, who could see the future and help
where everybody else gave up, started coming in.

Clearly, Ivica knew about Nostradamus and did not

hide his admiration when talking about him. At that time,
however, he did not yet know that they were connected by
something else – the mirror. The greatest prophet of all
times foresaw the entire human history by using a liquid in
a brass bowl that sat on a tripod as a mirror, in which
scenes from human history were unfolding. The so-called
“druid bowl” functioned in a similar way, as did the Greek
Psychomanteum in which people could, allegedly, talk to
their deceased relatives. Dr. Dee, an English mystic, was
inseparable from his mirror made out of obsidian and many
Asian cults utilize gazing at the reflection of one’s own
eyes in the mirror. There are quite a few British prophets,
who adopted this practice from historical sources, and
apparently Ivica mastered this method intuitively, without
a teacher or a guru.
Soon there was a change in Ivica Prokić’s work. His
first and closest helpers, who would stay with him for a
long time, arrived and he abandoned all practices that
earlier connected him to the traditions of white magic. At
first it was the mirror, usage of which gradually lessened,
but so did the interesting “aura”-cleansing techniques,
which were based on using hornbeam and hawthorn in
combination with water. The ancient Balkan method of
using a chicken egg that requires one to lie above it for
three days was also no longer in use. It is not clear,
whether Ivica wanted to avoid the stories that associated
this unusual practice with superstition or whether he, as his
closest helpers claimed, entered a phase in which he no
longer needed any aid when working with people.
Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning that the method for
diagnosis and therapy with a chicken egg is known as

Oomantia and that Philippine healers showed some

spectacular results by using this technique.
Now Prokić was working with his hands, receiving
people, communicating with them and obviously getting to
know them very well. In his thirteen books he presented a
series of simple yet powerful truths. For example, at some
point he noted that “people are the most sensitive about
their children and money”, while he interpreted a series of
incomprehensible injustices that shattered people’s faith in
the Good as follows: “It is important to know what was
said to me: while Satan is working and agitating, God does
not interfere with his work and vice versa. The purpose of
all activity by the Spiritual Guides is for people to start
seeing with their hearts and feelings and not only with
their physical senses.” And while the leading American
institute HearthMath established that the heart has some
kind of intelligence of its own and is developing ways of
setting this intelligence to music for people’s well-being,
Prokić felt and expressed this using his plain language. He
began to realize, that there was something that spoke
through him, something which cannot be explained using
human words, but which is that something that heals
people. He concluded, that he could help people as much
as they believed in themselves and in their own healing, so
he would just say: ”As much as you believe, that much you
will take with you”.
They constantly put pressure on him to explain how he
can see everything about a person, details of his life,
problems, situations and even names of their loved ones.
“When I see an event through an open door, it is about
the near future, and when I am looking at an event through
the window, it takes place in the distant future. One day in
the astral world represents one month on Earth…”

There are countless practitioners of psychotherapeutic

methods that use doors as a symbol of some sort of
transition to the reality unavailable to the conscious mind.
And people who experienced clinical death, sometimes
have the impression, that they left their body through a
door and that, if they would have crossed another barrier
on the “other side”, they would have forever left their
human body. Masters of astral projection also often
mention doors as the way to willingly leave a human body
and travel to that astral plane, as Ivica called it. Holy
scriptures also present the unusual concept that “the time
that passes on Earth is not equivalent to the time that
passes in some other, parallel reality…” From that reality,
Prokić gained his insights, but he often ran out of words to
describe what it looks like when you are outside of your
own body. This, however, did not diminish the quality of
what he gave to the masses of people seeking help. Not
always, of course, as it is not everyone’s destiny to receive
help immediately after asking for it.

Prokić had things happening to him regularly, which

Carl Gustav Jung, the biggest expert on the human psyche
in the 20th century, refers to as synchronicity. That is when
something happens that connects two events, but at first
glance, it seems that there is no connection between those
events.
Prokić described an interesting experience: “They all
had umbrellas and could barely protect themselves from
raindrops, but I did not have one. By some miracle,
however, not a single raindrop fell on me! I entered the
hotel having completely dry clothes.”
If history did not provide records of almost identical
phenomena, this would seem like a surreal fairy tale.
Synchronicity, however, can cause much more than
paranormal phenomena. It can create a symbol within the
collective consciousness or, as the aforementioned Jung
would say, within the collective unconscious; even in
human form, which affects people’s present and future in a
mysterious way, without being visible from the outside,
without anything seemingly being done. It can give a
person the gift of acting without action, achieving without
desire or anything we believe to be necessary for a
phenomenon to occur.
According to all the testimonials, records, books, the
devotion of his followers and the overall impression, this is
what happened in the case of Toplica Prokić a.k.a. Ivica
from Srebrnjak. Despite his controversial appearance, his
simple way of expressing himself and his, often fierce
bluntness, his charisma was not diminished. On the
contrary, the number of people waiting outside the house at
Srebrnjak was constantly increasing.

Ivica told everyone: “In this earthly realm there is no

such thing as coincidence. Everything is strictly
predetermined and everyone lives according to their
destiny.” His returns from astral travels back into his
physical body, which he describes as “a delight that
remains in his body”, brought more and more predictions
of future political and other developments, although he
avoided interfering with politics, religions or international
conflicts. He believed that the people always came first,
regardless of who they were. He was convinced that he
survived clinical death in 1986, so he often attributed his
ability of foreseeing the future to that incident. In some
way he believed that this moment in his life was the second
in a series of crucial events leading to his destiny of
becoming “the prophet from Srebrnjak”. Right at the
beginning of the breakup of Yugoslavia he foresaw, that ”a
man with glasses will come to power in Croatia”, “people
will start to return to the churches”, “a bomb will suddenly
fall on Zagreb”, “there will be accidents in the mines of
Aleksinac”, “there will also be an earthquake in Zagreb
which will not cause any damage”. Many of the other
predictions are yet to come true, so it is up to history to
judge how far ahead Prokić was able to see during his
journeys beyond his physical body. Considering his
origins, they liked to compare him to the famous Tarabićs
from the area of Užice, who predicted almost the entire
history of the area in which they lived as well as a number
of world inventions, wars and personalities. He himself
liked to quote Tarabić‘s story about »three cross
mountains«, which will be the only safe shelter during the
next global cataclysm. According to Prokić, Sljeme, near
Zagreb is one of those mountains.

Further peculiarities connected him with already

known traditions.
For instance, he celebrated Thursdays and not Sundays,
which coincides with ancient scripture from Teheran, the
so called “Oceans of Light”, in which it is written that a
prophet of future times will set aside Thursday as his day
of rest. And by chance Thursday was also chosen as a
resting day by Sathya Sai Baba, a prophet from southern
India. Interestingly, Nostradamus, too, mentioned a
prophet of the future that will celebrate Thursdays. Even if
it must be a coincidence, the number of similar cases in
relation to Prokić is unusually high.
There were also gruesome predictions, especially in
light of the tsunami in late 2004, which claimed tens of
thousands of lives. Already in the early years of his
mission, Prokić told his future successor, Braco, about a
vision in which he saw “how under the sea, a big flame is
rising and a great wave is forming and moves towards New
York.” Hopefully this will turn out to have been a
symbolic vision and not something that will actually
happen on Earth.
The subconscious mind governs man and he often does
something reckless, something he will later regret. Disease
also comes from what was suppressed in the darkness of
human subconsciousness. Prokić describes this state of
man in an interesting way: “When a person suddenly falls
ill, this is a sign that his Spiritual Guide is intoxicated and
has fallen asleep.”
All the predictions and descriptions of the “afterlife”
Prokić has given throughout his thirteen books and his
narrations are difficult to gather in one place. They
represent a system of beliefs that has a foothold in a
number of traditions worldwide, but there are few who

with their charismatic personality attracted thousands of

people from all walks of life and laid the foundations of a
mission which only over time would shine in all its glory.
Prokić’s vocabulary is not philosophical or religious, it
does not contain any literary finesse that would attract an
audience, but rather it is the harsh vocabulary of life, – just
as life was harsh for those who came to Ivica for help.
Death came for Prokić at the age of 44, in a full swing,
only two years after he had established his mission at
Srebrnjak. Most of his close helpers remember the
depressing moments and mysterious comments about May
of 1995 as an especially important period. A prediction of
his sudden end can be found in a somewhat ominous
passage at the end of Prokić’s thirteenth book:
“I foresaw thirteen books, also this prophecy indeed
came true, I worked and I created it, I wrote and I finished
it, now I am finishing up and I wish you the best of luck.”
Whether Prokić really did foresee his own death, we will
never find out with certainty, however, it came for him in
an unusual way, the same way in which he had lived.
A man from South African, who had been suffering
from cancer and whom Prokić had helped, invited him out
of gratitude to travel to that distant country to rest there for
a while. He went to South Africa with four of his closest
helpers, more precisely, they went to the city of Durban,
which was about 100 kilometers from the coast. He loved
going for a swim at a place on the coast called St. Lucia,
not complaining even when they had to travel 200
kilometers in one day. One of those days proved fatal, as,
while swimming near the beach, a huge wave surprised
him and instantly suffocated him once it had hit him, while
his friend Braco barely managed to save his own life. For
the very first time since the beginning of his mission,

Prokić had taken off all of his golden jewelry just before
going into the sea.
Upon returning to Zagreb, there were hundreds of
people gathered at Pleso airport, wearing pendants of the
golden Sun Symbol around their necks and with disbelief
in their eyes. It was hard to believe that Ivica was gone as
silent columns of people headed for Srebrnjak, where for
three whole days Josip Grbavac – Braco – kept reporting
the tragic events that had taken place in South Africa. It is
sad, that in that same year – 1995, Prokić’s only son Alen
also lost his life in a traffic accident. And that was how
Prokić’s journey ended. He left behind testimonials of
patients whom he had helped to recover, people whom he
had helped solving their life problems and numerous
followers.

Only two days after the return from the fateful journey,
a middle-aged woman came to Srebrnjak and
spontaneously asked Braco, then a 26-year-old with a
Master’s degree in Economics, to touch the photograph of
her son and help him in that way. “Ivica believed in you the
most”, she said, “and you have to continue with what he
started.” Braco’s insistence, that he was not entitled to
foresee the future and help people on behalf of the late
Ivica, did not prove sufficient. People kept coming and
coming. Less than three days had passed and already the
first testimonials were recorded, attesting that this young
man with the boyish face did not fall short of his former
master and teacher in his abilities for healing and
clairvoyance. Several times in his books, his late master
undoubtedly revealed that he expected Braco to one day
succeed him or at least share the burden of his work and
mission.

“He is second in my association, he has been with me

for a little over one year, apart from that he has a Master’s
degree in Economics, he came because he had to come, he
was appointed to my right side. He is always by my side,
even when I am asleep and when I am on the road, he is
with me everywhere and I announced him many years ago,
that he will be 26 when he comes to me. Such a man
appeared and he is called Braco”, Prokić writes in his book
“Prophecies of Ivica Prokić”. In the book “The New
Beginning”, again, he does not leave any doubts about who
would be the one to succeed him, foreseeing his role and
the moment in symbols: “And I experienced it today, as I
will show you on the photographs, that I saw myself in a
crowd and myself with him and that I had at my side that
young man, whom I had announced a long time ago
through my books and media. He was sitting to my right; I
was wearing a white shirt and dark trousers. The shoes,
too, were completely made, but as the other pair was not
ready for use yet, they were still in a phase of creation…”
Already after a few months, not only did the number of
people coming to Srebrnjak not decrease, but the lines
were getting longer. Braco is talking to people, giving
advice, telling them about their future, touching the
photographs of their loved ones, sometimes writing on
them or just signing them. A systematic recording of the
effects achieved by the young healer begins and a new
picture emerges: a large number of people are helped in
various ways by his atypical and unusual interventions. As
if Prokić knew, that the awareness of his own power would
awaken by itself, once Braco set out on the path destined
for him. At least, judging by one prophetic passage from
the book “Heaven is Helping Us“: “You have to get to that
point where you feel a need, and that is when an invisible

energy guides you to the path of the prophet. In that

moment, a tree is being planted for you, a Tree of Life, as
we would call it here, and it all begins.”
Braco expands the mission unexpectedly fast, even
outside the borders of Croatia, and the number of buses
arriving at Srebrnjak from all over is increasing as well.
More and more often the license plates are from Germany,
Switzerland, Sweden, Serbia, Montenegro and other
countries. Celebrations of Ivica’s and Braco’s birthdays are
becoming a tradition and attract thousands of visitors. The
lines of people holding a bouquet of flowers in their hands,
patiently waiting for Braco from as early as 3 a.m.,
astonish the media, who are following the development of
the phenomenon with interest, as is well documented on
dozens of video recordings. In just a few years, Braco’s
mission has evolved to the point that, at least once every
week, he has to travel abroad, receiving visitors for up to
36 hours straight without a break, whose numbers often
approach the magical threshold of ten thousand people.
After each such marathon session, several healings are
being recorded, improvements in a patient’s condition,
solutions to somebody’s life problems or at least a
subjective sense of relief for a suffering person, who
traveled hundreds of kilometers just to meet this silent man
with the captivating gaze, about whom he had heard so
much or seen him in one of the documentaries.
It is difficult to explain that one man can have such an
effect on a person seeking help after only a few seconds or
minutes of contact. It is about the form of communication
which is almost impossible to explain, but Braco is clear
about what matters the most: “I cannot explain what
happens to me when I am working with people. I am simply
tireless. I do not feel exhaustion, not even after endless

lines of people have passed before me for hours. I think the

key is that they believe in me, in my love and in my wish to
help them. Or, better yet, they are open to it. It is less
important whether I make contact with them for a longer
or shorter period of time.”
Braco, the young man from Zagreb and a former
student at the Faculty of Economics, was not much
different from his peers until he met Prokić. The main
characteristic of their relationship was an unusual devotion
and a deep friendship, which he had felt towards Ivica for
years. As then, so today, he is modest and unassuming.
Despite his remarkable modesty, even when he does not
think about it, he impacts people in sometimes
unbelievable ways. It is as if something is constantly and
spontaneously radiating from him. At first glance, he is an
average, happily-married husband and father to a young
son with long hair, reminiscent of his father’s.
It was an interesting event that took place following a
roundtable discussion, during which experts from various
fields of science had discussed about two hundred healings
attributed to Braco’s unusual talents. One of the physicians
participating in the interesting discussion on the
relationship between science and the paranormal, reported
that days after said discussion, he would constantly find
himself communicating with Braco in his dreams. These
were meaningful and lifelike conversations, so he could
not resist sharing his experiences with the circle of people
around him and even told Braco about it. Braco receives
reports of such experiences from dozens of visitors at
Srebrnjak or from somewhere outside his homeland. “It is
hard to say that you only talked to me. In a way, you talked
to something that we all share, yet at the same time it was
me. This paradox is almost impossible for me to explain to

all those who ask me how it is possible for something so

fantastical to happen to them. And so, I can be a Spiritual
Guide when I come from within, in thoughts, and I am also
an ordinary man when you look at me superficially.”
While Braco is well aware of various traditions and
cases in which contact with a particular person occurs in a
dream, providing the dreamer with vital answers, he
refuses to comment on his connection to such phenomena.
“There is no need to talk about this. It just happens
when it has to be that way. By digging into it or trying to
understand it with the mind, we stop a natural process and
it loses its meaning. Any benefit a dreamer may have
gained is lost. Some things simply must not be translated
into words if we want them to retain their power“, the
young prophet says.

As mentioned earlier, Braco already initiated the

recording of medical documentation in the first phase of
his mission, so it could be objectively proven to what
extent he had helped patients suffering from serious
illnesses such as cancer, arthritis, epilepsy, depression and
more, which play an increasingly important role in modern
life. During this time he still communicates in the way
described above: verbally and by physical touch. Film
recordings from that period show people who, with
photographs of the people they are seeking help for, walk
past the pictures of Ivica and Braco and into the small
room at Srebrnjak, where Braco still receives visitors
today.
But that, too, was to change a bit.
Completely unexpectedly, Braco changed his modus
operandi, his way of working. He no longer spoke with
patients and guests at the sessions and he also stopped
touching photographs. He simply started just gazing at
people! The effects of this new method are the same, if not
better. Even though this may sound like a science fiction
story, in one of the most famous Eastern schools,
originating in Punjab, India, it is believed that the current
teacher, to whom astonishing powers are attributed,
transfers his charisma and abilities to his successor with a
gaze. In his books, the renowned Swami Narayanananda
talks about “teachers with such power that they could
enlighten their student with just a gaze.” Finally, let us
remember Aristotle and his famous words: “Eyes are the
mirror of the soul.”
“It may seem strange to you, but the instructions for
this way of working, as unusual as they are, come from
within. It is as if a voice that is not heard by human ears,
teaches you what to do next. Because every day, there are

more and more people looking for help and it is not easy to
change the destiny of someone when you have looked into
the eyes of more than six thousand people that same day. It
is not your conscious will, some decision of yours, which
you have reached by thinking. It is simply what it is, as it is
and as such unchangeable. It is what, through me, as it
sometimes seems to me, can do just about anything. That
substance of the spirit itself, as I dare to call it, penetrates
where nothing else can penetrate. That is why I speak
about it reluctantly, because they look at me strangely
when I cannot tell them what they are so interested in,
what or who it is that works from within me.”, Braco tries
to clarify his delicate feelings. “I am not a guru or a leader
of any following, I just am, here and for those who need me
or will need me, and may not even know it yet. I do not
want to attribute any merit to myself as a man, who also
has his own joys and sorrows. I can only speak with
respect to that which works through me and which
sometimes leaves even me astonished at what it can do.”
Great healers, like for instance the German miracle
worker Bruno Gröning, thanked God himself for all their
good deeds. But they all burned out, expending themselves
in encounters with tens of thousands of desperate patients.
Gröning only lived to the age of 52 and he died of cancer
of his internal organs, about which his Parisian physician
said that “it had burned him from within.” Braco does not
mix religious concepts into his work or, rather, he does not
want to exhaust himself with interpretations of something
which we may not be able to accurately explain for a long
time to come. Maybe this is the recipe for his tirelessness,
and also, as we have noted already, the reason he never
tires at all in his daily encounters with the sick. At times
one would not be able to tell that had received those three

hundred people who just left Srebrnjak and only by the

intense scent of the flowers brought by the visitors do we
know that they had been there at all.
The biggest mystery, of course, is how it is possible for
Braco´s influence to affect a person over a distance,
without him even seeing that specific person or through
someone who brings a photograph of a loved one.
Dr. Larry Dorsey was the first renowned scientist who
publicly confirmed the possibility of affecting an organism
over a distance. Before his concept of “non-localized
reality”, claims that somebody had been healed in this way
were assumed to be based on delusion or an expression of
wishful thinking of a patient who, in such a situation,
imagines something that is not real. The experiments of Dr.
Oleg Worrall, however, who holds a double doctorate in
Medicine, showed that it can indeed have an effect on live
organisms, which can be as far as 1000 kilometers away.
Dr. Reinhart, a researcher from Atlanta, Georgia,
constructed a specially-adapted Wilson chamber and in it
literally recorded the “radiation” of a healer who “sent his
energy” from a distance. A real mass hysteria was caused
in Russia by Dr. Anatoly Kashpirovsky, a
neuropsychiatrist, who held healing sessions via television
almost every day and for months. Eight million people
contacted the TV studio, either by mail or by phone,
ranging from those who claimed to have recovered from
serious illnesses to those who were asking for help.
Kashpirovsky moved his sessions to stadiums, where he
put tens of thousands of people in a trance. Although he
claimed to have created those effects via hypnosis, experts
agree that it had to have been something more than that.
And so, for example, about sixty recoveries from leukemia
were recorded and even the Russian Olympic boxer,

Riskiyev came forward. His hands, heavily deformed over

the years, had literally recovered in one session! Also
Allan Chumak, a Russian Jew, did the same thing. He,
however, worked using radio stations by “sending energy”,
as he would say, through the radio waves. The highlights
were those broadcasts during which he was simply silent in
the studio! Even so, there were people who had been
healed by listening to that silence. Chumak even invented
“healing photographs” of his face and hands, surrounded
by shining light. And he claimed that they could trigger
reactions similar to those he himself caused when in
contact with his patients. Hundreds of thousands of
testimonials about the effects of various healers working
over a distance proved that one can no longer ignore this
phenomenon, which is miraculous and still hard to accept.

A particularly significant contribution to the

understanding of distance healing was made by Dr.
Randolph Byrd, a cardiologist from New York whose
experiment is already a classic today. He examined
whether groups praying for patients, who had just had
heart surgery, and without the patients knowing about it,
would affect convalescents causing them to recuperate
more quickly than the control group, for which nobody
was praying, also without their knowledge. The results of
the study with over 300 patients were more than clear:
those being prayed for recovered incomparably faster.
With some other experiments, like the one of Oregon’s
group Spindrift, science had to accept the possibility, that
some people really do have powers, with which they can
help us even when they are not nearby, either through their
very intention or even without it, just by drawing attention
to the one who needs help.
How else to explain the case of an elderly Croatian
lady from Germany, who came to Braco seeking help for
her 5-year-old grandson who suffered from epilepsy and
experienced frequent and severe seizures? She always
brought a photograph of the child with her. At first, the
seizures started to occur less and less frequently and after a
couple of months they had stopped completely. From the
signed statement and the medical documentation, it is clear
that medical specialists were perplexed. They monitored
the child for seven consecutive days in a room with a
camera, in order to detect potential seizures during the
night. Still, without any special therapy, the findings have
been completely normal for a year now and there were no
further seizures.
A lady from Krapina suffering from a severe form of
allergy to almost all foods, dust, feathers and many other

allergens, had no more problems after only one visit to

Braco. Edema, the intense redness and all the other
symptoms that had plagued her for many years had
disappeared.

There are also dramatic stories, like that of I.H., a

Bosnian man working in Munich, who was diagnosed with
lung cancer. After asking for Braco’s help on several
occasions his findings returned to normal, as shown by the
medical documentation attached to the patient’s statement.
How can we explain the fast recovery of an 8-year-old
girl suffering from cardiac asthma and severe allergies, or
her grandmother who could walk again after having had a
stroke? Or a lady from Frankfurt whose cysts in the left
kidney disappeared, or a patient who recovered after a loss
of hearing and whose chronic earache, for which a surgery
had been suggested, disappeared? How can we understand
the disappearance of severe chronic back pain in a number
of people? Or the complete normalization of one lady’s
fasting blood sugar level, which for a long time, had been
as high as 18? Or a sudden improvement in several cases
of lupus? Or even the disappearance of a deformation of
the skull of a fetus and a long list of other phenomena
recorded at the premises on Srebrnjak or somewhere else at
live events of Braco’s tours throughout Europe. Dozens of
testimonials like these can be found and each and every
one of them is a little medical enigma.
Of course, skepticism may intervene here in the form
of that familiar question: what percentage of those who
turned to Braco for help actually received help?
He is not interested in statistics: “I must not think
about it in that way, because people are not here in order
to be used in our calculations and by that be turned into
numbers. The success is measured by the openness and
faith of a man who comes to me as well as by the destiny
that was meant for him by the Power which goes far
beyond the comprehension of even the most educated
researchers. It is an insult to the mercy that this Power

shows through me for a suffering person to be the subject

of cold, inhumane calculations. Indeed, science needs to
investigate such phenomena, but it cannot apply
mathematics to a human soul. You can only approach it
with love, which is the mathematics of the soul.
Interference in the process that is happening to us here,
even if so seemingly indirectly, harms the phenomenon
itself. Let us rejoice in the success, in what has helped,
saved lives… That is my mission. Research work is the job
of scientists, in which I could meet them halfway, up to a
certain point. I am sure you can feel where that limit is.”

Some experiments described by Michael Talbot in his

book “The Holographic Universe” indicate that, in regards
to the human psyche and its effect on the body, there is so
much more that exists, but is not clear to us. An American
researcher, O’Regan, treated one group of cancer patients
with a strong cytostatic drug, which causes a hair loss. At
the same time, he was giving a placebo, a substance
without any effect, to a control group of patients, for which
he knew that medication could not help them. Because
they believed they were taking the actual cytostatic, 30%
of them indeed experienced hair loss, although they took
only plain sugar water. This is just another example of
what the conviction or faith of a human being can do. This,
however, still leaves many things unexplained, because,
using a placebo or strong suggestion, many doctors should
be able to achieve miraculous recoveries. That does not
happen, however, which is why the medical profession,
most often psychiatrists, admits that there is another
unknown but key factor in play, which can make a
significant difference between ordinary suggestion and the
charisma of a healer who attracts thousands of people.
Much is recorded in scientific literature about Singaporean
Hindus and their ability to survive pouring burning oil over
their naked bodies without the slightest burn. There is also
the widely-known story about the train conductor who was,
by mistake, locked inside a refrigerated wagon overnight
and had frozen to death by the morning. This happened
despite the fact that refrigeration was switched off and that
the temperature inside was +15°C. His belief that he was
freezing, produced symptoms of freezing in the body.
Braco does not consider suggestion in the narrower sense
to play a crucial part in his work:

“I would say that faith in addition to that

unexplainable factor, can play a role. But one can hardly
associate my work with suggestion. Simply because I do
not know anything about suggestion and I do not say
anything to people. I gaze at them without using any hand
or body movements that would constitute “body language”
or any other form of non-verbal suggestion. This has also
been confirmed by scientists who observed my work. ”
Physicists are still debating the existence of the so-
called “butterfly effect” or some Holographic Universe in
which absolutely everything is interconnected and that
even the most extraordinary and mutually distant events
can be connected as some logically coherent bigger
picture. In broader terms and without the limitations of
mind, such a thesis opens up the possibility of even the
most bizarre practices having great effects. In the light of
that total freedom in the infinity of our imagination, all that
which seems unconvincing and unrealistic at face value,
can be part of a meaningful big picture which can save
one’s life or solve some insurmountable life challenges.
Once a year, French king Louis XIV, who called
himself the Sun King, would lay his hand onto his sick
worshippers, who, every last one of them, flocked to Paris
to find the grace of the touch of a ruler whom they
considered a deity. They had an opportunity to do so only
once a year and sometimes, according to various sources,
over 30.000 people gathered there, which is quite a
considerable number for that time. Nevertheless, it is an
interesting fact, that a considerable number of healings
have actually been recorded, which is difficult to explain in
a rational way. Louis XIV was anything but a positive
person, a truly cruel autocrat with schizophrenic
tendencies. On the other hand, healers, such as the two

Americans, Phineas Quimby and Mary Baker Eddy,

created a healing system which insists on morality, love
and devotion to God. That is how the Church of Christian
Science was started and is still publishing periodic
bulletins, presenting healings, which are attributed to
prayer groups organized by the Church to help those who
suffer from various diseases. A simultaneous effect on
multiple people was successfully demonstrated by Franz
Anton Mesmer, as well, after whom an entire healing trend
was named – Mesmerism. In his case, too, it was claimed
that it was actually hypnosis, however it was never fully
explained how Mesmer put his patients into a trance
leading to their recovery. For a while, even the French
Academy of Science had supported his work and he
enjoyed a prominent reputation in society. He was using
magnets, water, visual effects and many other things, about
which science would eventually challenge him.
Disillusioned, he ended up in Switzerland, where he died at
age of 84.
“At times, I have an overwhelming feeling of
connection with some sort of network, a unified spiritual
body from which information about something that is
happening or will happen, is flowing into me.”, Braco
explains, “I am, however, never the one who intentionally
initiates such a connection. Sometimes, I simply know that
this impulse had transferred from me to the patient in front
of me and often this person feels it as well, as a feeling of
warmth in their body, a sense of complete inner security
that everything is fine, that nothing could go wrong or feels
some kind of joy or bliss.”
Apparently, the way in which a healer affects the
patient does not play a crucial part in the healing process.
Finally, a majority of the most famous healers actually

never knew how to explain their success at something,

even though there were suggestions that energy, passing
from a medium to the patient, should be visualized,
positive affirmations repeated or simply to have a blind
faith in some sort of medium that shall “take on the
negative energy that had led to the disease”.

The case of one lady clearly demonstrates that often a

healer solves a number of different problems of a person at
once. Her father was dying of liver cancer and she, in the
third month of her pregnancy, found out that her fetus had
a tumor on the neck. In a state of shock, she came to
Srebrnjak, at a time when Braco was not there. There was,
however, a group listening to his calming voice coming
from the speakers in the room.
“There were about twenty of us. I felt terrible. My
heart was pounding, I was simply distraught.”, says a
blond lady in her late thirties, “I did, however, calm down
a bit when I heard Braco’s voice with a soft music in the
background. In my thoughts, I was begging him to help
me, to help my father and my baby. At first, nothing
happened and then at one point I felt such severe nausea,
that I had to leave the room. I returned to listen to the rest
of the recording of the voice. Then something unreal
happened. I had a feeling like I was not even in that room,
that there was some kind of a light moving through it and I
suddenly felt an extraordinary improvement. I knew that in
that moment there was something important happening to
me, as if all the evil suddenly left my body, but also my
life. The first good news was the sudden and unexplainable
recovery of my father, whom everybody had considered
gone already. What can I tell you? I had already bought
black clothes for the funeral. I went to the gynecologist and
the ultrasound showed no sign of the three-millimeter
tumor on my child`s neck. The abortion that had been
suggested to me earlier had become unnecessary and I
gave birth to a normal and healthy child. Braco has
changed my life and every year I come here, for his
birthday, to thank him for that.”

Does that mean that Braco’s voice can trigger some

kind of a change or was it a women´s desperate cry in her
struggle for her child’s survival? One thing is certain:
Braco can, in different ways, be the catalyst for unexpected
changes in one’s life or health and every day we learn of a
new case like this.
The question arises: can those people, who visited
Braco once or several times, in some way amplify or
prolong his beneficial effect? Here is what he says about it:
“Ivica already said that, when a man sets out on the
path of a prophet, a tree is planted for him. And that tree
grows until it has grown into a beautiful, shining Tree of
Life. It is not a tree that human eyes can see and in whose
shadow a tired traveler can rest or hide from the Sun. It is
an Ancient Tree, underneath which all truths are written
and everything is possible, all dreams can become reality.
But it is not easy to sit under that Tree or to touch its trunk.
For it is in the inner worlds that we can only see with the
eyes of the soul and great powers are given to the one who
sits underneath it. And he cannot use these powers any way
he wants, but only as destiny commands. Therefore, the
more righteous you are, the more merciful the tree will be
with you. First of all, if you want the Tree to be merciful
and to meet me underneath it, be honest, just and kind to
your neighbor. If you have hard times, do not blame
someone else, but be patient. After night, comes the light of
day, but the day ends with darkness once again. Both good
and evil are given to everyone. It is the art of living to
know to rest and to suffer through evil and not to be
arrogant in wealth and in happiness. As much as you
believe, that much you will take with you, Ivica used to say.
And I tell you, as much as you are kind and gentle, that
much you will take with you.

I am not asking anything of you, nothing but to be

open, because the more open you are and the less you
burden your spirit with dark thoughts, the stronger the
effect of the Power I send to you will be. Do not try to be
open, but be open. Do not try to be good, but be good. Not
only when you come to see me or try to connect with me
over a distance, but every day. Try to do a good deed every
single day, regardless of how small and unimportant it
may seem to you. At least throw a few pieces of old bread
to the birds. When you do good do not expect anything in
return. There will come a time, when the reward for your
good deeds will arrive.

I tell you all this, to prepare you to drink the nectar

underneath the Tree of Life, for your wish to come true and
to lessen your suffering. Because, I will not be able to take
you there without your help, without you doing something
yourselves to be better, in bad as in good times. And, be
what you are, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews,
because your religion only teaches you the good.
Everything in the universe is in balance. You cannot
receive love, if you are not ready to give it. I am telling you
this for your benefit, so that you may receive mercy
underneath the Tree of Life and so it may flow from me to
you. All this is only preparation, and once you are ready, it
will seem to you like everything is solved easily, as if by
itself.
I can help you a lot, even more than you can imagine,
but you must allow me to do so. Be kind, do good and
surrender to this liberating, sweet stream of love that I am
sending you. Do not try so hard to receive it, leave it to the
stream to do that which is the best for you. As the Sun is
reflected in every dew drop, what I give you can be
received by each of you, at the same time, now.”
Now listen to what you have to do.
Every day in the evening hours, when everything
around you calms down, sit alone in a room or somewhere
in silence and open this Book of Recovery.
Slowly read aloud the entire last section (italicized) in
which Braco is talking to you.
Now open the first page after the colored one. At the
top of the page in the first line following the number 1, you
will see one sentence (“I deserve love”), which is printed
in bold letters.
Read this sentence aloud and close your eyes. Wait for
the first thought that comes to your mind and write it down

have just read. It does not matter at all what kind of a
thought it is, whether it has anything to do with the
sentence you have read and whether it is ugly or beautiful.
It is important that it is the first thought that came to your

thought is the voice of your inner Spiritual Guide, as Ivica
Prokić called it. By constantly receiving these first
thoughts after writing down the sentences and messages
from the Spiritual Guide, you will cleanse yourself and
become open to receive healing or solve some of your
other problems.
Now in the line marked with the number 2, write down
by hand the same sentence (“I deserve love”), the one that
is written at the top of the page, following the number 1.
Again, immediately after you have written down the
sentence, close your eyes and wait for the first thought to
come to your mind. Immediately write it down into the
blank field, in the line following the one marked with the
number 2.
Now in the line marked with the number 3, write that
first same sentence which is written at the top of the page
and that you have already written down following the
number 2. Right after you have written it down, close your
eyes and wait for the first thought that comes to your mind.
Write it down on the line below the one which is marked

previously-mentioned sentence (“I deserve love”).
Continue in this way until you reach the number 49,
without interruption, number after number, thought after
thought. Do not interrupt this process by leaving the room,

needs to be done as one continuous exercise.
When you are going through this process, keep in mind
that it is performed once for one thought at a time and that
after that, the subconscious needs to be left alone to receive
what will be sent to it. In other words: do not be impatient.
Do not work with more than one sentence and thought in
one day!

Decide for yourself when to work with the next

sentence. This can already be the next day, a week later or
a month later, at the most.
After you have written the 49th thought that came to
you and thus concluded the exercise with that sentence, it
is very important for you to sit down and close your eyes.
Wait one or two minutes and then imagine the Sun shining
with golden rays in the area about an inch below your
heart. Below the Sun, there is a tree with a thick trunk,
strong roots and a large, green tree top, in which there are
various fruits in all colors of the rainbow. At the foot of the
tree there is Braco, with his left hand in a position as if
holding his index finger against the tip of his chin. His
eyes are resting on you. Now that you have imagined this
image just below your heart, turn to Braco in your mind
and ask him to help you solve your problem. Address him
in your own words. Keep the described image in front of
your eyes, as if it were just below your heart. Do not
worry, if you cannot see the whole picture or if you see it
poorly or cannot see it at all. If you do not see it at all, just
imagine it is there and act like it is there. When you have
finished with your message or request to Braco, saying it in
your mind, imagine that you have handed over all of your
sorrows, worries, problems and fears to Braco underneath
the Tree of Life. Wait one to two minutes and then slowly
open your eyes, stand up and resume your usual activities.
This procedure of turning to Braco through the Tree of
Life should always be done at the end of your session, after
you have written the 49th thought that came to your mind
after writing the 49th sentence.
If you wish, you can practice this simple exercise once
a day, even when you are not working on this diary with
one of the seven sentences.
