December Video Project Instructions

Individual videos

Introduction Week: December 9th-20th

Recording Week: December 23th-27th

Tasks
- This month the students will be doing individual speaking for the video project. They simply need
to say one sentence about topic Christmas.
- Have Ss write down the question in their notebooks and answer the questions as homework.
Review and practice the questions in the next classes.
- Teachers MUST post in the Zalo group chats informing parents of the upcoming video project and
advising the parents to practice with their students.

Topics:
1. SK Classes (SK11, SK12, SK13, SK14, SK15)
• Vocabulary: ribbon, cookies, bell, snowman, candy cane, turkey
• Structure: What is this ?
 This is… (vocab)
• (The teacher will be in the video with the student. First drill the flashcards, then ask the
question. Some strong Ss will be able to answer in a complete sentence. Other Ss will only be
able to point and say the one vocabulary word in response to your question.)

✓ Let’s sing together: Each class will practice singing the song We wish you a merry
Christmas. The class with the best performance will receive a reward. This activity will
be carried out in the classroom.

2. KL Classes (KL57, KL59, KL62, KL64, KL65,KL66, KL67, KL68)


• Vocabulary: Sing Christmas song, Make a Christmas treat, Build a snowman, Go ice
skating, Write letters to Santa
• Structure: : 1. What do you usually do on Christmas day?
 I do… (vocab)
2. What are your Christmas wishes?
 I want … (follow teacher’s instruction) for Christmas.
• (The teacher will be in the video with the student. First drill the flashcards, then ask the
question. Some strong Ss will be able to answer in a complete sentence. Other Ss will only be
able to point and say the one vocabulary word in response to your question.)

3. KL54 + TL Classes (TL23, TL26, TL27): Students explore the topic "History of
Christmas" based on the following guidelines (can be expanded further):
- What day is Christmas in 2024
- Origin and meaning of Christmas
- Distinguish between the 24th and 25th of Christmas
- Symbols of Christmas

The teacher should not be in the video. Help your Ss by giving them options on how to fill the
sentence.
✓ Send Christmas wishes to everyone (at least 2 sentences)

Video Instructions
• NO gum, food or drinks in the video
• The teacher will not be in the video.
• Do not use a transcript for the students to read behind the camera
