The pie charts depict the information about the production of electricity in
Germany and France in the year 2009
Overall, it can be seen that conventional thermal played the main role in
Germany electricity generation whereas nuclear was the main source in
France. In addition, winds was main source of renewable energy in
Germany while the figure of hydroelectric took the majority.
In all types of source, they both generated over 500 billion kWh for
electricity in each nation in 2009. In Germany, conventional thermal was
generated just below 60% of electricity, while the proportion of this in
France was 10.3%. In France, over three-quarters of electricity generation
came from nuclear energy, which was over three times higher than that of
Germany. Furthermore, Germany and France both used renewable sources
the least, with 17.4% and 13.7% respectively
In terms of renewable energy produced, biomass and wind reached under
40% in Germany. The proportion of this in France was just about half. By
contrast, hydropower was 80.5% in France but in Germany, it took just
17.7%. The figures of solar and Geothermal sources both took a minority
in Germany and France, with under 1%
I. Line graph
The graph below shows the amount of goods transported in the UK from
1974 to 2002.
The given line graph depicts the figure of commodity delivered in the UK between 1974 and 2002
Overall, the amount of good transported witnessed several fluctuations throughout the period of 28
years. Although the four trends were similar in terms of a general increase, the amount of goods
delivered by road was higher than the whole line graph.
In 1974, nearly 70 million tonnes of goods were moved by road, which was the highest figure of that
year, by contrast with the data of pipeline was lowest, with about 5%. The amount of goods delivered by
water and rail were nearly equal, at 40 million tonnes.
By the year 2002, the figure of commodity delivered witnessed an upward trend, peaked nearly 100
million tonnes. Pipeline, similar to road, its figure climbed to about 20 million tonnes at the same year.
Although experienced some fluctuation, the figure of goods transported by water and rail both increased
by the year 2002, with 51 million tonnes and 42 million tonnes respectively.
I. Bar graph
The chart below shows the global sales of different kinds of digital games
from 2000 to 2006.
The given bar chart depicts how worldwide sales of four various kinds of digital games changed in the
period of 6 years, starting from 2000.
Overall, the sales of games handheld, mobile phone and online increased steadily each year whereas
console games experienced downward trend throughout the period.
In 2000, Handheld sales was much higher than those of the other products. This figure steadily increased
throughout the period and peak nearly 18 million dollars by the year 2006 which was always the highest
figure in the period of 6 years. By contrast, console sales witnessed an downward trend. In 2000, console
were sold nearly 6 billion dollars. This figure of console games remained equal in 2003 and 2004, with
nearly 4 billion dollars in both two years then it dropped 3 billion dollars in 2006.
Furthermore, the least figure of online games were sold in 2001 was only 1 million dollars and this
statistics was steadily increased in the next 4 years and climbed up 8 billion dollars in 2006. Mobile
phone games, similar to online games, its statistic was equal with the data of online games, with 2
million dollars in 2002, then it witnessed an upward trend in the next 5 years and peaked over 7 million
dollars.
I. Table
The diagram below shows the life cycle of the honey bee.
The given diagram depicts the lifespan of honey bee.
The given diagram depicts the lifespan of honey bee.
Overall, it is clear that there are six stages of the life-cycle of the honey bee which takes 34 to 36
days.
Firstly, female bees lay eggs every three days. Following this, eggs get hatched and take around
9 to 10 days. After 5 days, babies get out of the eggs and turn into next stage, in which they are
immature from an insect. This stage usually takes about 7 days. The following stage is a moult
that allow them for new growth.
Then they get three time bigger in growth in 9 days. After that, moults become young adults
when they emerge and generally take four days and get fully mature. After that, the cycle has
been started again from the beginning.
