- identify the inclusions of a tour packages.
-discuss the different types of tour

What is the Tour Package?
- It is a pre-arranged holiday with several components and
sold by an intermediary such as tour operators or travel
agents.
- It is generally associated with “hassle-free” travel
because once it has been arranged, it will make things
easier for tourist, especially in first –time traveler.
- It may be arranged for both domestic and international
destination.

Packages?
The elements and inclusions of a Tour Package
Elements are:
-Validity Date and Duration

The Inclusions are:


-Transportation (transit, transfer and destination)
-Accommodation
-Meals
-Tours
-Miscellaneous
Validity Dates
-this element normally stipulates the dates of traveler is
allowed to avail.

Duration
- this element state how long the tour package is
supposed to last. Example: 3Days/2Nights (3D/2N), 4
Days/3Nights (4D/3N)
The Inclusions are:
•Transportation
➢Transit transportation- this refers to transportation
means of tourist to arrive at and depart from the
destination.
➢Transfers – these are the transportation arrangement
for pick-up and drop off of the visitors to and from the
tourists’ accommodation.
ETA ( Estimated Time of Arrival) – which indicate the pick-up time.

ETD (Estimated Time of Departure) – which means traveler need to


brought to their corresponding terminals with ample time to make
sure they don’t miss their flights, cruises etc.
The Inclusions are:
•Accommodations- these are room
arrangements from pre-arranged suppliers.

According to Types Room
Single Room
-is a room with a
single bed , good for one person
Twin Room
- is a room with two
single beds, good for 2 person
Double Room
-has a one double
bed and can occupied by two
person

Also known as couple room


Double-double Room
-has 2 double
beds or queen beds,
occupied by 4 persons,

It is sometimes called
Twin double
Triple Room
-Is occupied by
three people, may have
3 single beds .
Family Room
-has at least 1
double bed, plus
additional single bed and
/or sofa bed designed to
accommodate one small
family
The Inclusions are:
• Meals – the most general type of meal inclusion is the
BREAKFAST.
➢American Breakfast –(toast , fruits and / cereals)
➢Continental Breakfast – (fruits and toast)
➢Filipino Breakfast (Buffet) – ( tapsilog, tocilog etc.)
Types of Services:

• American Services
-also called as “ Plate Service” because the food is already arrange in
individual plates and ready to serve to guest.

• Russian Service
-also called as “Platter Service”, the food is pre-arranged in a platter
with enough serving for one table

• Buffet Service
-it is a types of services consist of a light or heavy meal served from a
central table. It is a self—services type of service where the guest have to
fall in line up to get their food in a buffet table.
The Inclusions are:

• Miscellaneous - other charges may be indicated in the


package for inclusion such as taxes, service fee and additional
perks.
Types of Tour Packages
A. Land Arrangement Tour Package
1. Free and Easy – it is the simplest of packages which
have 2 inclusions: Accommodation and Transfer.
2. Half-Board – has the same inclusion as Free and
Easy package with meal either 1 lunch or 1 dinner.
- allows 2 out of 3 meal arrangements in a day.
3. Full-Board – arranges all 3 meal in a day.
4. Full Land Arrangement- focus on the additional dimension
of City Tour and a list of Optional Tours to pack the days of the
visitors with activities.

Optional Tour – has corresponding price, transportation


information, duration of the tours (3 hrs., 5 hrs., 8 hrs.) and
meals.
B. All – Inclusive Tour Packages
- means that ALL items are already arranged and paid for
and all the passengers/tourist needs to do is show up.
Inclusions are:
-All transportation
-All Tours, as identified
-All Meals
- Accommodation
