Purpose statement
This document provides an overview of features and enhancements included in release 22A that are related to
comparisons between Person EFF and Assignment EFF in HCM Cloud.

Introduction
An extensible flexfield (EFF) is similar to a descriptive flexfield (DFF), with some additional features. For example,
you can add as many context-sensitive segments to the EFF as you need.

Considering where to implement additional personal items, Person EFF (formally, Person EIT Information) and
Assignment EFF (formally, Assignment EIT Information EFF) would be attractive options.

This document will help you understand differences between both the EFFs and make a better choice to
implement your additional personal item.

UI behaviours
The Additional Person Info page (for Person EFF) and the Additional Assignment Info page (for Assignment EFF)
behave very similarly.

You can access the Additional Person Info page with the Additional Person Info quick action. For accessing the
Additional Assignment Info page, you can click the Additional Assignment Info quick action.

You can configure the Additional Person Info page (for Person EFF) and the Additional Assignment Info page (for
Assignment EFF) using the Transaction Design Studio (TDS).

The supported TDS parameters are Role Name and Country (based on their active work relationship legislations).

TDS provides the option to select to show or hide the Page (Info Group) and the Region (Context).

Note: For the Oracle-delivered Person EFFs, Oracle has delivered TDS rules based on the Country parameter.
These delivered TDS rules enable you to display only those person EFF pages or contexts that apply to the person
based on their country.

Configuration using Aggregate Security Privileges

You can control viewing and managing EFFs using Aggregate Security Privileges. The following table shows
default access for Oracle delivered roles and Aggregate Security Privilege Included to the roles.
