MOST IMPACTFUL EXPERIENCE
The Importance of Punctuality in Professionalism
Experience: During my internship at Ranjit Sabikhi Architects, I made it a point to arrive on time
every day, ready to start work promptly. However, my seniors were often late. While this was
not a major issue in terms of daily operations, it subtly affected the flow of work and team
dynamics. I realized that this habitual lateness had a ripple effect, causing minor delays in
decision-making, pushing deadlines, and sometimes creating a sense of frustration among team
members who were ready to start on time.
Why It Stands Out:
Impact on Workflow: The lack of punctuality disrupted the planned workflow, leading to
inefficiencies. This experience highlighted how crucial punctuality is for maintaining
momentum and ensuring that everyone can contribute effectively without waiting on others.
Professionalism and Respect: Being on time is not just about sticking to a schedule; it
reflects respect for others’ time and professionalism. I observed that punctuality—or the
lack thereof—can influence how colleagues and clients perceive you, affecting one’s
professional reputation.

Impact on Me:
This experience reinforced my commitment to punctuality as a key aspect of professional
integrity. It taught me that being on time is not just about personal discipline but also about
contributing positively to the team’s overall efficiency and success. I understood that as an
architect—and especially as a future leader—my actions set a tone for the entire team, and
punctuality is a simple yet powerful way to demonstrate reliability and respect.

DRAWBACKS
Limited Exposure to Large-Scale Projects:
Drawback: Due to its size and scope, the firm focused more on medium-sized
projects, which limited exposure to large-scale, complex architectural undertakings.
Impact on Me:
Project Variety: I felt that the projects lacked the scale and complexity that I was
hoping to experience, which might have limited my understanding of managing large
teams, complex logistics, and comprehensive design challenges.
Broadened Perspective: On the positive side, this limitation encouraged me to
appreciate the intricacies of small-scale projects and how they can have a significant
impact on local communities, prompting me to explore urban-scale projects or larger
firms in the future for a broader experience.

Limited Professional Growth Opportunities:

Drawback: In a small firm, there were fewer opportunities for structured
professional development, mentorship, or advancement compared to larger firms
with dedicated HR and training resources.

seeking learning opportunities, networking, and acquiring new skills.
