Dear Swati,

Congratulations!!! It is indeed our pleasure to offer you a role in The Reader Nest.

We compliment you on your excellent performance in our selection process and are
pleased to offer you appointment as “Educator” on retainership basis in our
organization on the following terms and conditions.

• You will be paid as per the Appendix 1.

• This contractual agreement shall continue in force for a period of one year from
the date of singing. Upon expiration, this agreement shall auto-renew until either
party notifies the other parties in writing as specified in this agreement of its
intent of terminate the agreement.
• You may also terminate your employment with the Organisation by giving sixty
(60) days prior written notice to the Organisation. Further, the Organisation may
at its sole discretion to relieve you early.
• Notice Period Requirement - Employees are required to serve a notice period
of 60 days upon resignation.
• Salary Release Post Resignation - Salary will only be released after the
completion of the mandatory notice period.
• Failure to Serve Notice Period
- If an employee fails to serve the required notice period, only 60 percent of
the salary due for the notice period will be released.
- The remaining 40 percent will be forfeited as a penalty for not fulfilling the
notice period obligation.
• Final Settlement-The final settlement, including the release of any pending
salary and benefits, will be processed only after the successful completion of
the notice period.
• Acknowledgment of Policy - By accepting this appointment, you
acknowledge and agree to adhere to these terms regarding the notice period
and salary release upon resignation.
• The first two months of your employment shall be a probationary period. If
the Educator is not satisfactorily performing during the probation period, the
Organisation reserves the right to terminate the contract with immediate effect
without making any payment.
• You will not (except in the normal course of the Organisation's business) publish
any article or statement, deliver any lecture, or broadcast or make any
communication to the press, including magazine publication relating to the
Organisation's products or to any matter with which the Organisation may be
concerned, unless you have previously applied to and obtained the written
permission from the Organisation.
• You will be required to maintain utmost secrecy in respect of organisation
documents, commercial offer, design documents, financial information like Cost
& Estimation, Technology, Software packages license, Organisation polices,
Organisation’s patterns & Trademark and Organisation’s Human assets profile.
• You will be required to comply with all such rules and regulations as the
Organisation may frame from time to time.
• Any of our technical or other important information which might come into your
possession during the continuance of your assignment with us shall not be
disclosed, divulged, or made public by you even thereafter. On termination of
your employment, whether with or without cause, you will immediately give to
the Organisation all provided electronic devices, laptop (s), correspondence,
specifications, formulae, books/documents, effects, market data, cost data,
drawings, or records, etc., belonging to the Organisation or relating to its
business and shall not retain or make copies of these items.
• If at any time in our opinion, which is final in this matter you are found non-
performer or guilty of fraud, dishonest, disobedience, disorderly behaviour,
negligence, indiscipline, absence from duty without permission or any other
conduct considered by us deterrent to our interest or of violation of one or more
terms of this letter, your services may be terminated without notice and on
account of reason of any of the acts or omission the Organisation shall be entitled
to recover the damages from you.
• You hereby confirm that you have disclosed, fully to the Organisation, all your
business, interests whether they are like or in conflict with the businesses or
activities of the Organisation and all circumstances in respect of which there is
or there might be, a conflict of interest between the Organisation and you or any
immediate relative or associate. You agree to disclose, fully to the Organisation,
any such interest or circumstances that may arise during your employment
immediately upon such interest or circumstances arriving.
• Upon separating your employment with the Organisation, you shall forthwith
return to the Organisation all the assets and property of the Organisation
documents, files, books, papers, memos, or any other property of the
Organisation in your possession or under your control
• Conflict of Interest: Your position with the Organisation calls for your part-time
engagement and you will be available exclusively to the business of the
Organisation during agreed 4 hours from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm IST(minimum 4
classes in a day).
• Apart from the hours dedicated to conduct classes with The Reader Nest,
Educators are also required to be available for 1 to 2 hours/week for any training
sessions/workshops as per the Organisation requirements.

TIMELINESS/PUNCTUALITY:

1. Timely start (5 minutes before the teacher needs to join) and completion of the class
with no stoppages technical or otherwise attributable to the employee.

2. Provide 1 (one) day notice before taking a leave that will impact the employee’s class.

3. Adhering to the Leave Policy as provided under Leave policy.

4. If the employee is late in joining a class, a fine of Rs. 50 per class will be charged
strictly.

The employee shall be given salary based on meeting all the above-mentioned
requirements. Failure to comply with the above-mentioned requirements will lead to a
reduction in variable pay-out.

LEAVES

• The employee can cancel/reschedule only 4 classes in a month.


• If the notice for a class cancellation/reschedule is less than 6 hours, a penalty
of Rs 50 per class cancelled/reschedule will be applied regardless of the
duration of the class.
• On exhausting the leaves for the month, if the employee wishes to take leave
by giving a prior notice of 24hrs, a penalty of Rs 50 per class will be applied.
• If a student doesn’t join the class within 2 minutes the teacher needs to inform
the management and get confirmation to further cancel the class if the child is
not joining.
• If a one-on-one class gets cancelled because of student NO SHOW, the
employee needs to wait for 10 minutes and mark the class cancel.
• Exceptions on penalty will be made in case of emergencies, only if the
appropriate documents are submitted as proof. For example- medical
emergency, etc. Examples of documents that can be submitted are Dr’s prescription,
medical certificates, picture of injury, etc.

Long Leaves:

• The employee shall be entitled to a maximum of 5 days’ vacation at a stretch in


a month policy. This can only be availed once a year with no penalties.
• The employee can avail the long leave by informing the management through
mail at least 7 days prior to the leave.
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct demo classes as per The Reader Nest content and methodology.
• Ensure amazing demo experience for the child and parent.
• Conduct regular classes (post enrolment) using curriculum.
• Ensure monthly feedback to the child’s parent during the session as well as the
organisation.
• Adhere to the schedule for the demo as well as regular classes.
• Manage students effectively in virtual classroom and motivate / encourage
students.
• Tailor teaching method to suit the difference in competency of students.
• Monitor and assess the progress of students, setting goals for improvement.
• Design, prepare and deliver lessons to teach on the knowledge, techniques,
support and enhance the students' understanding in the subject.
• Build rapport with both students and parents through effective communication.
