Using Calendar Like A Boss 2024
Using Calendar Like A Boss 2024
Scheduling meetings using your digital calendar application is one of the most powerful ways to
communicate that you are in control of your agenda, and that you are serious. As well, used properly,
this tool can help you manage your life so that you can relax, knowing you have everything under
control. Time management is a key skill you will absolutely need to be good at in the IBS Program, and
in your professional future (regardless of what path you choose). This assignment will help you get good
at it
1. Using your calendar app, create a calendar invitation filling out all the fields properly (note: pay
particular attention to the “subject” field, ensuring what you add there is informative for both
meeting attendees). If there is content in the “Description,” mention it here.
2. Invite will be filled out to 1 other person (so both you name, and that person’s name, must
appear in the “Event Name” area)
3. The Event Location must be completed (if by Zoom, please add the Zoom link there)
4. In the Description area, please include an agenda
5. Take a SCREENSHOT of your completed, unsent, invitation that clearly shows all fields
referenced above.
Add all of your classes, assignments, and time set aside for course work and study, for the month of
January by creating events (that aren’t sent to anyone, but are still saved). Colour-code your events so
that assignments and “study time” are aligned with each course.
Take a screenshot of the “month” view of your calendar, with classes and assignment due-dates
showing (they’ll be small, but still visible)
Open a WORD or POWERPOINT document (doesn’t matter which one), and place the SCREENSHOTS of
your calendar invitation, and your January calendar, onto the document. Save this document with a
descriptive, informative file name, and submit it in Blackboard.
