Objective:
The goal of this task was to explore PowerWorld Simulator by simulating a basic power
system and documenting the process and results step by step.

---

Task Overview:
I worked on creating and simulating a simple power system in PowerWorld Simulator. The
process included setting up buses, a generator, loads, and a transmission line, followed by
running load flow analysis to see how power flows through the system.

---

Steps:

Step 1: Drawing the System

- Opened PowerWorld Simulator and started a new project.

- Added the following components:

- Two buses: **Bus 1** and **Bus 2**.

- A **generator** connected to Bus 1.

- Two **loads** connected to Bus 2.

- A transmission line linking Bus 1 and Bus 2.

Step 2: Configuring the Loads

- Set up the loads on Bus 2 with the following values:

- Load 1: 25 MW, 0 Mvar.

- Load 2: 15 MW, 10 Mvar.

- Made sure both loads were active (status set to "Closed").

Step 3: Setting Up the Generator

- Configured the generator at Bus 1:

- Output: 50.67 MW, 10 Mvar.

- Enabled voltage regulation and automatic generation control.

*(Generator setup:)*

Step 4: Running Load Flow Analysis

- Ran the load flow analysis to calculate power flows and voltages.

- Key results:

- Bus 1 voltage: 1.00 pu (138 kV).

- Bus 2 voltage: 0.798 pu (110.164 kV).

- Total load on the system: 40 MW, 10 Mvar.

---

Observations:
- Power was successfully supplied from the generator to the loads.

- Voltage at Bus 2 dropped due to the load and line impedance.

- The generator adjusted its output to meet the system demand.

---

Challenges:
- Initially faced issues with parameter settings for the loads and generator, which were fixed
after reviewing the tutorial.

- Ensured proper connections between components to avoid simulation errors.

---

What I Learned:
- How to use PowerWorld Simulator to design and analyze power systems.

- The importance of proper configuration for accurate simulation results.

- How to perform load flow analysis and interpret the outcomes.

---

Conclusion:
This task helped me understand the basic functionality of PowerWorld Simulator and gave
me practical experience in power system simulation. The insights gained will be useful for
future assignments and projects.
