TITLE OF PROJCET : PICK AND PLACE ROBOT

PROBLEM STATEMENT : DESIGN THE MECHANISM FOR PICKING

AND PLACING A RECTANGULAR BOX.

OBJECTIVE :

This project involves the design and development of a robot based on a

pick and place mechanism. The primary objective of this robot is to pick

up an object or box from one location and place it at another location. It

is designed to transport heavy loads for packaging and dispatch purpose

in industries.

MOTIVE OF PROJECT :

To pick and place a box from one place to another for packaging

purpose.

COMPONENT:
CYLINDRICAL BASE

BICEP ARM

FOREARM

WRIST

JAW
DESIGN AND STRESS ANALYSIS:

The robot's dimensions were calculated based on stress analysis to

ensure the structure could handle the required load of 30 kg. Various

joints and linkages were analyzed and designed accordingly. The overall

3D model of the robot was prepared using Fusion 360 software.

ROBOT COMPONENTS:

The robot consists of the following key components:

1. Cylindrical Base

2. Bicep Arm

3. Forearm

4. Knuckle Pin

5. Gripper

6. Connector

SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM:

MATERIAL USED:
While selecting material we have considered various factors such as

Strength, Hardness, Weight, Cost, etc. So, our requirements match with

the properties of the material. The primary material used for the robot

construction is steel. Key factors considered during the material

selection process include strength, hardness, weight, and cost. The

robot is designed to handle a load of up to 30 kg.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the robot designed in this project meets the objective of

picking and placing an object weighing up to 30 kg. The use of steel as the

primary material ensures sufficient strength and hardness while

maintaining cost-efficiency. The design and dimensions have been

calculated based on stress analysis to ensure structural integrity. The 3D

model in Fusion 360 helped visualize the design, making it easier to iterate

and refine.
