Initial reports showed the NPA rebels fired at two Army Scout Rangers. The soldiers were
unhurt.
Witness said the gunmen claimed Loquias had a “major offense” against their organization.
The identities of the slain communist guerrillas have yet to be determined.
Another NPA rebel managed to escape.
In another alleged NPA attack, Virgelio Loquias, chairman of Barangay San Antonio in
Hilongos, Leyte, was shot dead while fishing in Mahangin Creek at around 1 p.m., also on
Friday.

School Press Conference (NSPC) at Subic, Olongapo City on April 10, 2014.
“Everyone who has exerted efforts for the glory of God is worthy to be honored,” she

The bill seeks to protect members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer
(LGBTQ) community from discrimination.
The bill was passed unanimously in the House of Representatives in 2017, but its Senate
version has languished in the period of interpellation.
Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III on Wednesday said the Sexual Orientation and
Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) Equality bill will not pass in the upper chamber.
"Anti-discrimination on persons pwede. Pero focused on gays, which the SOGIE bill is, and
religious and academic freedom impeded plus smuggling of same sex marriage? No
chance!" he said in a text message to reporters.
Sotto has previously opposed some provisions of the measure, saying it could lead to the
end of religious and academic freedoms.

mga kabataan na masyadong aktibo dito.
Walang aasahan sa mga magulang na masusubaybayan nila ang kanilang mga anak sa
tamang paggamit ng social network sites lalo’t sila mismo ay hindi alam kung ano ang
internet, sabi ng kongresista.
Paliwanag pa ni Quimbo, hindi pa rin maaring pigilan ang mga kabataan na gumagamit ng
makabagong teknolohiya subalit ang kailangan umanong gawin ng gobyerno ay siguruhin
na ang bagong communication technology ay nagagamit na mayroong pag-iingat.
Ang mga guro ang manguna sa pagpapalaganap ng pag-iingat dahil sa karamihan sa mga
magulang ng mga estudyante ay walang aktibong partisipasyon sa interes ng kanilang
mga anak sa mga social network activities
Ang kawalang partisipasyon na ito ay pinalala pa ng katotohanang karamihan sa mga
magulang ay mula sa mahihirap na pamilya o iyong mga tipong walang exposure sa
internet.
Sa datos ng AGB Nielsen, ang Pilipinas ang pang-lima sa buong mundo na gumagamit ng
Facebook.
Noong nakaraang taon si Quimbo ay naghain ng House Resolution 184 na nagre-regulate
ng Facebook at Twitter sa lahat ng tanggapan ng gobyerno habang office hours.
Tinagurian si Quimbo na “party pooper.”
