Game-Changer: Gamified Learning’s Role in Math Success for Grade 8 Students

Initial Broad Topic: Education

Narrow Focus: Gamification of Math Class

Independent Variable: Gamification Strategies

Dependent Variable: Mathematical performance of Grade 8 STE Students

Objective: To evaluate the impact of gamified learning on the mathematical performance of


Grade 8 STE students

Context/Condition: Both the control group and the experimental group will study the same
mathematics content. However, the experimental group will receive the content through
gamified learning strategies, while the control group will follow traditional teaching
methods. Students with mathematics grades ranging from 85-90 will be purposively selected
to ensure that the participants have a moderate level of proficiency in the subject.

Gap: In the Grade 8 STE class at Florita Herrera Irizari National High School, several students
have been struggling with low marks in mathematics. Many of these students find it
challenging to grasp the concepts and lessons presented by the teacher.

Sampling: Purposive Sampling

Evaluation: Pre-Test and Post-Test (Quantitative)

Interview (Qualitative)

Here me assess before and after results from test by students kibali test anay then after sa experimental
and control group post test to see if they have mproved, then if si experimental group nag lamang kan
control. Sa interviews I will ask open-ended question like what they felt, their feeling then uno sila ka
engaged in likert scale maybe the same with control group then compare them.
