Business Model Canvas
Business Model Canvas – is invented by Alexander Osterwalder. It is a chart used to visualize the concept
of the business. It allows us to see what is the process that the business will go through. It is linking the idea and
how will the business will work. It will allow everyone to see the idea through a chart/picture of what will the
business will be.

The Business Model Canvas is a tool used by the business individual and entrepreneur to visualize all the
sections when starting a business, including customers, the path to market, value proposition, and finance.

Why we use the Business Model Canvas?


• It provides a quick summary of the business model and is devoid of unnecessary details.
• The visual characteristics of the business model canvas make it easier to refer to and understand by
anyone.
• It’s easier to edit and can be shared easily with any individual.
• Large businesses can use the Business Model Canvas as well as startups with just a few employees.
• It simplifies the various aspects of the business that are related to each other.
• It allows everyone to get a clear idea of what the business all about.
• It can use as a guide for brainstorming sessions on defining the business model effectively.
• It views what kinds of customer decisions influence the use of the systems.

Parts of the Business Model Canvas


• Value Proposition –this are the list of your business goals. This will tell the customer what benefit they
can get in your product.
• It is solving a problem or a need to a customer
• Customer Segment – this are the group of people that will buy your product. It is better to choose a
specific customer segments than generic.
• They are the paying customers
• You can classify them according to age, ethnicity, profession, gender, spending behavior,
interests, and motivations.
• Channel – this is how to connect and reach your customer.
• Physical channel –

• Customer Relationship – explains the kind of relationship a company creates with certain customer
segments.
• How are you going to GET, KEEP, & GROW Customer?
• Revenue Stream –how your business will generate cash from each customer segment.
• Think of what is the Value a customer is paying for
• Currently, how does your customer are paying?
• What is there preference in paying?
• Key Resources –is the resources necessary for the operation of the business.
Categories of Key Resources:

• Physical – Buildings, vehicles, machines, raw goods, etc.


• Intellectual – Brand, proprietary knowledge, partnerships, etc.
• Human – Creativity, experience, skills etc.
• Financial – Cash, credit, stock, etc.
• Key activity – Activities that the business are dealing into.
• Production, Manufacturing or servicing.
• Key Partners – are those we must to work with in order to create and deliver our solution. There roles
to your business is also important.
• Example: Supplier, Creditors, referrals…
• Cost – it explains all costs acquired to make a business model work. What is the most expensive and
important cost you need to worry about.

Note: If you are an entrepreneur and has the idea but doesn’t know who your customer is start with the value
preposition and then the customer segment. If you know your market segment, you can start with the customer
Segments and then continue to value proposition

o One of the problem of the customer segment is they are too busy to stop by a specific
store to buy something they need so the 3D company are giving a solution by giving
them convenience in shopping. The 3D Company will shop and buy the customers
grocery using the app and will deliver door to door to the address given by the
customer.

✓ To help the customer deliver surprises with their friends and loveones.
o The company will help the customer celebrate with their loveones and friends by giving
surprises. Through the 3D Company the customer can surprise the celebrant wherever
she/he is.

✓ To give the customer the safe way to satisfy their cravings


o To help the craving customer satisfy their craving by delivering and stopping by at their
favorate stores.

• Customer Segment - The following customer segment are classified according to the people who are in
need of delivery services.
✓ - An individual or a group of people who are craving for food but is unable to go outside their
homes.
✓ - People who wants to surprise their friends and love ones.
✓ - People who doesn’t have time to stop by into a specific store.
• Channel – the 3D company is delivering their service through the use of virtual channel (Mobile
Application and Smartphones)

• Customer Relationship – 3D company has Ka-3D Membership Card to Get, Keep and Grow the
customer. The Ka-3D Membership Card will offer limited member ONLY benefits and discounts.

• Revenue Stream –
• The Customer will avail Ka-3D Membership Card for their benefits and points in every
transactions
• Customer will be able to pay through QR codes and also offering a Cash on Delivery.
• Key Resources –
• Human Resources – needed to deliver services, skills of the application developer and
maintenance
• Users and drivers – for delivering the service and availing the service
• Digital technology – use to connect with the customer by using internet and downloading
application
• Data Infrastructure – platform where they are able to store the information of the customers
• Key activity – 3D company in engage in servicing type of business activity and will be providing
customer service.

• Driver – through the 3D company application the driver will know the orders of the customer. He/she
will pick up and deliver door to door to the customer.
• Restaurants, shops, & mall – the key partner of the company will serve as a partner that will have the
access in the monitoring of order in the 3D company app. are the key partner of the 3D company their
companies featured services will be visible in the 3D company app so their will be various choices for
the customers
• Mobile Shopping Platform – will connect the customer, store and the driver.

• Mobile App maintenance – the 3D company will pay for the maintenance of the mobile
application.
