• x: The museum has extended hours.
• y: Photography is allowed in the museum.
• z: There is an ongoing exhibition.
Write these propositions using p, q, and r and logical connectives (including negations).
a) There is an ongoing exhibition, but the museum has not extended its hours, and photography is
allowed.
b) The museum has not extended its hours, and photography is allowed, but there is an ongoing
exhibition.
c) If there is an ongoing exhibition, photography is allowed if and only if the museum has not extended its
hours
d) It is not possible to take photographs in the museum, but the museum has not extended its hours, and
there is an ongoing exhibition.
e) For extended museum hours to be in effect, it is necessary but not sufficient that photography is not
allowed, and there is no ongoing exhibition.
2) Construct the truth table for (p → q) ∧ (¬p → r), and specify for which combinations of p, q, and r we
