SEMESTER 1 – January, 2025
Student Report Comments - SAMPLE
Grade 3
This semester has been an enriching journey filled with
engaging inquiries and skill development. Grade 3 students explored three IB transdisciplinary themes:
Unit 1 – How we organise ourselves
Students examined how resources and consumer demand
determine the market. They explored how needs and wants influence purchasing decisions, how producers meet consumer demands, and why some products cost more. This unit strengthened their thinking and self- management skills while fostering communication and risk-taking.
Unit 2 – Who we are
This unit focused on how people build and maintain
relationships through social interactions. Students learned about communication forms, social skills, and connecting with others, developing caring and reflective attitudes while enhancing their social and communication skills.
Unit 3 – Sharing the planet
Students investigated hometowns and their unique
features that shape identity and connections. They explored hometown characteristics, changes over time, and their impact on identity, showing growth as thinkers and inquirers.
Throughout the semester, students demonstrated
significant growth in Learner Profiles and Approaches to Learning (ATL), showcasing their ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others. Olivia is an open-minded and enthusiastic learner who asks thoughtful questions and consistently completes tasks with dedication. Her curiosity and positive attitude make her a valuable contributor to the classroom. Focusing on active listening during lessons will help Olivia stay even more engaged and further enhance her learning experience. We look forward to her continued success.
