Course Title: Project 350

Course Activities and Deliverables ⛑️ 🏋️


Students will work in teams of two to complete a project of their choice. The project can be a web
application, a desktop application, or a cross-platform application. Teams will follow a structured
development lifecycle, submitting deliverables for evaluation.

Evaluation Breakdown 🔍🧪
1. Idea Submission and Approval (Marks: 10)
○ Submit a project idea with a clear problem statement and objectives.
○ Mention the target audience and technology stack to be used.

2. Software Requirement Specification (SRS) (Marks: 15)


○ Submit an SRS document including:
■ Functional and non-functional requirements.
■ Use case diagrams or user stories.
■ Technology stack and architecture overview.
○ Ensure clarity and completeness.

3. Version Control Management (Git Usage) (Marks: 15)


○ Use Git strictly for version control. Follow this convention: LINK
○ Both team members must actively contribute (commits will be tracked).
○ Demonstrate proper branch management, pull requests, and commit messages.

4. Design and Development (Marks: 30)


○ Implement the project as per the approved SRS.
○ Focus on usability, functionality, and code quality.
○ Follow best practices for code organization, testing, and modularity.
○ Create a clean and intuitive user interface.

5. Deployment (Marks: 10)


○ Deploy the project on a suitable platform (e.g., web server, app store, desktop installer).
○ Provide a walkthrough of the deployment process.
○ Ensure the application is accessible and functional.
(For web and cross platform apps, you must host your application in Amazon AWS. Use your
SUST student credential to get 100$ free credit)

6. Documentation (Marks: 10)


○ Provide detailed user documentation and developer notes.
○ Include setup instructions and a project overview.

7. Final Presentation and Demo (Marks: 20)


○ Prepare a professional presentation showcasing:
■ The problem statement and solution.
■ The development process and challenges faced.
■ A live demo of the application.
○ Q&A session to address feedback from evaluators.

Deliverable Checklist and Deadlines (20 Weeks)

● Week 01: Submit project ideas and obtain approval.


● Week 02 - 14: Draft SRS & Development phase (bi-weekly progress check-ins).
● Week 15 - 17: Deploy the project and submit documentation.
● Week 18 - 19: Submit the final Software Requirements Specification (SRS) document.
● Week 20: Final presentation and demo.
