User Manual

Getting Started
1. Launching the Application

• Double-click the executable file ABC_Car_Traders.exe to start the application.

• The application will open to the Login Form.

2. User Functions

Login

1. Enter your Username and Password.


2. Click the Login button to access the system.
3. If you don’t have an account, click the Register link to create a new account.
4. Click the Exit button to close the application.

Register a New Account

1. Fill in all required fields: Username, Password, Name, Email, Phone, and Address.
2. Click Register to create your account.
3. After registering, you will be redirected to the Login page.
4. If you already have an account, click Back to Login.

3. Navigating Through the System

Admin Dashboard

1. Access to manage car details, car parts, customer details, orders, and reports is available directly
from the dashboard through dedicated buttons on the left side.
2. Widgets on the dashboard provide real-time statistics to help admins monitor the system.
• Total Cars: Displays the current number of cars in inventory.
• Total Customers: Shows the number of registered customers.
• Completed Orders: Lists orders that have been fulfilled.
• Due Orders: Highlights pending orders for immediate attention.

Customer Dashboard

1. Access to search car details, search car parts, place car orders, and view order status is available
through clickable buttons on the left side of the dashboard.
2. Widgets on the customer dashboard offer quick insights:
• Available Cars: Displays the total number of cars currently available for purchase.
• Available Parts: Shows the total number of car parts in stock.
• Your Orders: Lists of the total orders you’ve placed.
• Pending Orders: Highlights of any orders that are still pending.

Managing Car Details (Admin)
Add Car

• Fill in the Car ID, Make, Model, Year, and Price.


• Click on the "Add Car" button.

Edit Car

• Select a car from the list.


• Modify the details in the respective fields.
• Click on the "Edit Car" button.

Delete Car

• Select a car from the list.


• Click on the "Delete Car" button.

Managing Car Parts (Admin)
Add Car Part

• Fill in the Part ID, Name, Description, and Price.


• Click on the "Add Part" button.

Edit Car Par

• Select a car part from the list.


• Modify the details in the respective fields.
• Click on the "Edit Part" button.

Delete Car Part

• Select a car part from the list.


• Click on the "Delete Part" button.

Managing Customer Details (Admin)

Add Customer

• Fill in the Username, Password, Name, Email, Phone, and Address.


• Click on the "Add Customer" button.

Edit Customer

• Select a customer from the list.


• Modify the details in the respective fields.
• Click on the "Edit Customer" button.

Delete Customer

• Select a customer from the list.


• Click on the "Delete Customer" button.

Managing Orders (Admin)

Place Order

• Fill in the Customer ID, Car ID, Part ID (if ordering a car part), and Quantity (if ordering
a car part).
• Click on the "Place Order" button.

Update Order

• Select an order from the list.


• Modify the Order Status in the respective field.
• Click on the "Update Order" button.

Delete Order

• Select an order from the list.


• Click on the "Delete Order" button.

Generating Reports (Admin)

Generating Car Inventory Report

• Click on the "Generate Car Inventory Report" button.


• The report will display a list of all cars in the system.

Generating Car Part Inventory Report

• Click on the "Generate Car Part Inventory Report" button.


• The report will display a list of all car parts in the system.

Generating Customer Report

• Click on the "Generate Customer Report" button.


• The report will display a list of all customers in the system.

Generating Order Report

• Click on the "Generate Order Report" button.


• The report will display a list of all Orders.

Searching for Car Details (Customer)

Search for Cars

• Enter a Car ID or a Car Name in the text boxes and click the "Search" button.

Search Result

• The results will be displayed in the Grid below.

Searching for Car Parts (Customer)

• Search Parts

o Enter a Part ID or a Part Name in the text boxes and click the "Search" button.

• Search Results

o The results will be displayed in the Grid below.

Placing Car Orders (Customer)

Place an Order

• Select a car from the Grid View or type in the Car ID.
• Click on the "Order Car" button.

Placing Car Part Orders (Customer)

Place an Order

• Select a Car Part from the Grid view and type in the quantity or type in the Part ID, and the
Quantity.
• Click on the "Order Car Part" button.

Viewing Order Status (Customer)

View Status

• Select an Order or type in the Order ID.


• Click on the "View Status" button to display the current status of your order.
