To strengthen, enhance, and apply the students’ learning in the subject Oral Communication, I, their
subject teacher, will conduct a culminating activity with the theme, “SPEAK (Seize purpose, engage,
act, know): Communicating vision and values.” on December 11, 2024 at 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Culminating activity objectives:

1. To develop clear and coherent speech.


2. To improve pronunciation and enunciation.
3. To build confidence and competence in speaking.

Mechanics for Oration, Declamation, News Casting, and Speech
Choir.

 ORATION (English and Filipino)

1. Each section of the Grade 11 council shall have one (1) participant for
each category and each will compete individually.
2. The oration piece shall focus on the topic: The Power of words in Social
Change.
3. The oration should be between 3 to 5 minutes in length.

Judging Criteria

The orations will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

ahead of the event.
3. The declamation should be between 3 to 5 minutes in length.

Judging Criteria

The declamation will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. Each section of the Grade 11 council shall have two (1) participant for
each category and each will compete individually.
2. The contestants will present a news report on a given topic. They will
read the script aloud while showing professionalism and clarity.
3. The news report shall be delivered in 2-3 minutes only. Exceeding the
time limit by more than 30 seconds shall result to deduction of points.

Judging Criteria

The contest will be judged based on the following criteria:

2. Each team will perform a chosen literary piece in front of the judges
and audience.
3. Each team must perform their piece between 3 to 5 minutes in
length.

Judging Criteria

The performances will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:
