Minimum value of Z=300 at (60, 0) and

5 Maximise Z = 4x + y subject to the constraints:
𝑥 + 𝑦 ≤ 50 , 3𝑥 + 𝑦 ≤ 90 , 𝑥 ≥ 0, 𝑦 ≥ 0
Maximum value of Z is 120 at the point (30, 0).

6 Minimise Z = 200 x + 500 y subject to the constraints:


𝑥 + 2𝑦 ≥ 10 , 3𝑥 + 4𝑦 ≤ 24 , 𝑥 ≥ 0, 𝑦 ≥ 0
Minimum value of Z is 2300 attained at the point (4, 3)

7 Minimise and Maximise Z = 3x + 9y subject to the constraints:


𝑥 + 3𝑦 ≤ 60 , 𝑥 + 𝑦 ≥ 10 , 𝑥 ≤ 𝑦 , 𝑥 ≥ 0, 𝑦 ≥ 0
Maximum Z = 60 at all the points on the line segment joining the
points (15, 15) and (0, 20).
8 Minimise Z = 3x + 5y, subject to the constraints:
x + 3y ≥ 3, x + y ≥ 2, 𝑥 ≥ 0, 𝑦 ≥ 0 (Unbounded Region)

Minimum value of Z is 7 at point B (3 / 2, 1 / 2).
