By:
1.Mohammed Jumma Bin Niemah

2.Tariq Abdul Majeed Al shabani

3.Mohammed Mukhtar Hashemi

4.Taher Mohammed Al-senussi

Date: 15th March, 2022

OBJECTIVES:

1.Basec configuration on router and switch

2.configure Telnet and ssh

3.configure a routing protocol between routers with ospf

Background:
We used basec configuration for both the switch and the router

Also,we have telnet and ssh on the router and switch,it was router is address 192.168.20.1 and
switch 192.168.20.2,but we had a problem with the switch, ssh was not configured, unlike the
router, the other problem is that the telnet does not work from devices,I mean from cmd
because it is the operating system of windows7 devices, configure ospf on the router with
process id 1 and area0 and router-id 1.1.1.1,the connection between the neighbors worked and
we used telnet between us.

REQUIRED TOOLS:

A. Hardware:
1.One router 2911,one switch 2960,and foure pcs.

2. Cat5 cables, console cables , serial cable and RS232.

3. 6 Laptops ( OS windows 7 Ultimate).

B. Software:

1. A hyperTerminal App: TeraTerm

TOPOLOGY:

Addressing Table:
device interface Ip address subnetmask Default-getway
RAB S0/0/0 172.16.1.4 255.255.255.252 N/A
SWITCH4 VLAN1 192.168.10.2 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.1
SWITCH5 VLAN2 192.168.20.2 255.255.255.0 192.168.20.1
PC4 NIC 192.168.10.10 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.1
PC5 NIC 192.168.20.20 255.255.255.0 192.168.20.1
Procedures:
TASK 1:

1. Students work in Groups of three.

2. Each student in the group will administrate all devices in the netowk

3. allow all routers to connect together using by OSPFv1

4. allow all routers to accessed remotely by SSH ant TELNET

TASK 2:

STEP 1:

1. Configure Basic configuration on all routers.

2. Configure secret password on all routers; “cisco’.

3. Configure password on all vty lines; “vtycisco”.

4. Configure ip addresses on all active interfaces according to the following

RAB: 172.16.1.4/32

SW4: 192.168.10.2/24

SW5: 192.168.20.2/24

PC4: 192.168.10.10/24

PC5: 192.168.20.20/24

STEP 2:

1. Configure OSPFv1 (process id 1) on all routers and paying attention to

the area where connected to peers.

2. Configure All routers with '' router id 1.1.1.1''.

3. Let all router in The same Area ('' Area 0 '').

Many problems we faced during the lab, which has to resolved,
including:

1.OS win7 doesn’t support Telnet, so a software package, TeraTerm, has

to be installed
on laptops.
2. Laptops are not equipped with RS232 serial ports. An adapter
(RS232- USB) has to
be used with the console cable.

3. Switches(2960) doesn’t support SSH just TELNET Can Access With

it.

CONCLUSION:
As this is our Third lab this semester, we benefitted greatly from
working in real Lab environment. We have learned many concepts
including :
 Connect The Network By OSPFv1.

 Basic routers configurations.

 The importance of protecting Devices with password.

 Troubleshooting connectivity issues.
