CORE ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP

Only for Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Energy Engineering

Introduction :
VCE is an engineering and management consulting firm for energy sector companies. We are actively involved in many
renewable energy and infra projects in Thailand and other Asian countries including India.

VCE also hires core engineering students as interns to train, mentor and prepare them to face the industry / corporate.
There is a huge demand for quality engineers in the core engineering sector. But, unfortunately 90% of core engineering
graduates are not well trained and aware of the industry needs and they end up competing for diploma holders / ITI jobs.

Through this internship VCE is providing a platform for the core engineering enthusiast to look and understand the better
side of core sectors and build their bright future in it.

Who Should Apply :


This internship is ONLY for Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Energy Engineering Students / Pass Out. Other branches
who have deep interest in the project topic can apply.

Schedule : 2 Months, Work From Home, Online Learning, Flexible 14h per week.

Project Topics :
There are FOUR projects related to the core engineering sector. Interns can do more than one project but they need to
finish one at a time.

Project 1 : Solar PV Simulation and Designing


In this project topic, interns will learn and understand solar resource assessment, system sizing of solar projects,
simulation of projects using PVSyst software. Will get a chance to do simulation and analysis of 10 MWp Solar PV plant.

Project 2 : Electric Vehicle Techno-Commercial Analysis


In this project topic, interns will perform a detailed technical and commercial analysis of electrical vehicles in India.
Detailed case study analysis on success / acceptance of electric auto-rickshaw in India. Analysis of the future challenges /
opportunities faced by EV manufacturers, Govt and Consumers in 2021-2030.

Project 3 : Green Buildings Rating and Calculation


In this project topic, the intern will get a detailed knowledge about the green buildings and its rating system. They need to
analyse the cost benefit analysis of GB, techniques of energy efficient design of buildings. Current initiatives and overall
gain to business and environment from GB
Project 4 : Waste to Energy- Municipal Solid Waste Management
In this project topic, the intern will get a detailed knowledge about different types of wastes. They will understand the
challenges faced by Municipal Corporation to handle the solid wastes generated every day. The harmful effects of open
dumping of wastes. They need to design an engineering techno-managerial solution for MSW for a small city creating
1000 TPD of MSW taking the reference from Indore MC.

Work Profile :
Interns will be provided with 4 Modules and 4 Tasks. Which includes simulation, analysis, designing and calculations
related to respective projects.
At the end of the internship, they are also supposed to make a corporate standard internship report of about 25 pages,
where they need to include all the learnings of this internship. Interns will get constant support from industry expert
mentors through LIVE Sessions, Pre-Recorded Videos and One-to-One Interaction.

The complete specialized training, modules, task and project work along with the mentor support in this program is
ABSOLUTELY FREE. Means, the interns are NOT supposed to pay anything for the training and knowledge purpose.
