Revenue Collection, Reporting and Disbursement Platform

Function/Process

1. User creates a pro le, selects type of pro le ( nancier, producer, legal representation, etc.)

2. Within their dashboard, they can update their information (address, email, phone, bank
account, tax status, loan out corporation, preferences on email delivery versus paper, how
often you want direct deposits, etc.)

3. Within their dashboard, they can see all projects they’re associated with or parties to. They
can click a respective project/title to see live time nancials of that account. Think of this
like viewing your online banking, you can see whats come in, whats gone out to who, any
fees, etc.

4. From their dashboard, can they elect to: + set up a new title

5. On this page, they will enter the title name (Sample Title), the movie entity (Sample Title
LLC), select the type of collection account (Domestic, International Only or Worldwide).
6. See sample graph. From here, they will generate a DocuSign type “waterfall schedule” with
drag and drop options. Once they have nalized the water fall schedule, it will allow them to
“share draft with parties for approval”.

7. When dragging and dropping the elements (Writer, director, cast, nanciers, sales agencies,
etc). As they drag an element over, it will ask them for the name, email and amount either a
at gure or a %.

8. When this happens, parties they were added, receive an email “Sample Title LLC” added
you to their collection account for Sample Title Please provide your tax and direct deposit
information and view the waterfall schedule for accuracy.”

9. Users will be directed to enter their information (legal name if individual, here they can also
elect to be paid via a company name). Some users have business managers or accounting
rms that will be paid on their behalf. So, we need the option for them to select this “Third
party (business manager) will receive payments on behalf of this party. They will be
required to complete a W9 and enter their bank account information. This can be done
manually or by linking via plaid. After they have entered their information, it will go back to
the master agreement. After they have entered their information, they will be asked to
con rm waterfall schedule re ects their understanding of the waterfall schedule and
request their approval and signature. The contract originator will be noti ed party A has
signed. After the party signs, they will be invited to create an account to manage their
collection accounts, to receive monthly reporting, update direct deposit info at any time.

10. Aside from con rming the waterfall schedule and entering their info. The data is being used
to populate an agreement called Collection Account Management Agreement. The parties
will be added automatically as they con rm and it essentially takes the waterfall form
schedule they built into contract word form. We will provide a document down the line for
this.

11. Once all parties have signed the collection agreement / waterfall schedule, all parties will
receive an email copy that it’s been executed. Email copy will include a PDF of the nal
agreement.

12. Once an agreement is nalized by all parties, we will upload their new collection account
bank account information to the parties who created the account. This will include
domestic, international payment and wire information. They can select which parties should
also receive this. This is normally a sales agency, etc.

13. We will need to link to the bank via API that is providing the bank accounts/insured
collections accounts for live time reporting. When the bank account receives a payment
(either ACH/Wire), the online portal for their collection account will show the incoming
payment. Like a ledger from an online banking. “Incoming Transfer - Signature UK” -
$1,000,000.” Aside from updating in their online portal, parties will also get an email.
“Sample Movie LLC received an incoming payment from Signature UK”.

14. The movie pro le on our portal will show the waterfall schedule we previously locked as
well as the incoming funds and who received what of the $1,000,000 deposit.

15. If funds were received at 1pm on Monday, 12:01am on Tuesday when banks refresh, the
parties who are due % from those funds will receive them in their account.

16. They will get an update “ScreenCollections sent you a payment” email. They can view this
payment information in their portal.

17. Aside from being able to view real time nancial reporting, we need to issue a formal
“statement each month” that will be emailed to the parties and uploaded to the statements
section of their dashboard.

18. Each year, we need to issue tax forms (via 1099). We can upload these to their portals to be
downloaded.

19. ScreenCollections will receive 1% of all revenue + $5,000 set up fee per project. So, when
this is debited from their account, our fees will be paid out the same way theirs would be. It
will be paid as party would.

Notes
• Our website portal aside, we would like a mobile app for android and iPhone stores.

• We need to make sure our clients bank account information is kept encrypted and safe.

• Transparency and data safety are on the principals they we are building this company on.

• In their user dashboards, parties can select how often they get emails from us. Daily
reporting, weekly reporting, monthly reporting. How often they get deposits, or if they prefer
paper checks.

• We will need a company dashboard to be able to go in an manually adjust information for


people, to correct errors, etc.

• Design wise, think of DocuSign meets Stripe meets Mercury.
