Thank you for purchasing the 200 ISEE Words to Know for Elementary Levels from Test Innovators.

This list is intended to prepare your child or student for their once-a-year opportunity to take the official
ISEE.

This document includes 200 words with synonyms for definitions. Students will also benefit from
making up and writing down a sentence using each new word.

Many students will already know some of the words in this list. Students can then make a plan to
learn a certain number of new words each month or week. For example, if a student has 6 months
before the exam, he or she can endeavor to learn 50 words a month - about 10 or 12 words a week. If
a student has only 3 months before the test, he or she will have more like 25 words a week to study.*

*However, students should not feel pressure to learn every word on this list. As tutors, we recommend
that if a student has only a month or two to prepare before an exam that they focus their energies on
learning strategies, completing timed sections, and building confidence.

Students can also make flashcards using the words found here, or use the Test Innovators flashcards
found on Quizlet: https://quizlet.com/testinnovators/folders.

Any of these 200 words may appear on the official Lower Level ISEE.

This download is not for multiple students’ use. Distributing this download or printed versions of this
document to people other than the one student for whom it was purchased is prohibited.

Thank you for purchasing the 200 ISEE Words to Know: Synonym Practice for Lower Level from Test
Innovators.

This document includes the 200 words from our 300_Words_to_Know vocabulary list as ISEE-like
synonyms. Each question includes a word in capital letters followed by four answer choices. Students
should pick the answer choice that is the closest in meaning to the capitalized word.

These synonyms are intended to help students to practice the capitalized vocabulary. Therefore, the
four answer choices are intended to be of similar difficulty or easier than the capitalized word. On the
real ISEE, sometimes the answer choices may be more difficult than the capitalized question word. Our
purpose here is to provide a means for students to gauge how many of our 300_Words_to_Know they
have learned.

Any of the 200 words are likely to appear on the official ISEE.
