PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Telecommunication companies face challenges from customer retention. In the market sector,
churn rate calculation would become so important and would also indicate a few levels of
customer dissatisfaction, which could provide hints to the managers for applying enhancement or
improvement methods. This report aims at churn data analytics in order to identify the potential
churn causes and recommend steps that can be taken to avoid churn. The project will use
Tableau for visual insights, and use SQL queries on customer behavior and patterns.

Expected Solution:

1. Data Analysis and Preprocessing:

 Clean the dataset, manage missing values, and preprocess data using SQL.
 Analyze demographic details, contact information, and usage patterns.

2. Exploratory Data Analysis:

 Identify trends, correlations, and patterns of churn using Tableau.

 Create dashboards showing relationships between customer characteristics
(such as tenure, payment method, contract type) and churn.

3. Predictive Insights:

 Build Tableau dashboards showing customer segments most at risk for

churn and recommend retention strategies.

4. Recommendations:

 Suggestions can be targeted promotions for particular customer segments.

This may also include improvement of customer service, depending on
particular customer segments, or modifying an offering of products based
on areas of high-risk.
Division of Work Among Group Members:

Cleaning and transforming the datasets.

Will ensure that data is ready for analysis by addressing missing values and placing it
inside SQL structures.

2. Om Chouhan - Exploratory Data Analysis (Tableau):

Developed dashboards to interpret the relationship between churn and various customer
factors.

These interactive dashboards, built on Tableau, will give meaningful insight.

3. Aditya Sinha - Insights and SQL Queries:

Complex SQL queries are built to extract information from the data, such as the
identification of highly-churned segments.

Provide a comprehensive understanding of the SQL-driven insights into key indicators

behind the churn.

4. Arnab Roy - Presentation & Recommendations:

Compile findings and create a presentation that clearly articulates key insights and
recommendations.

Develop a strategy for reducing churn and present the final insights via Tableau
dashboards.
