4、Operation introduction

Before the first use of the newly purchased instrument, the sensor must be
calibrated with a standard gas of known concentration. In order to maximize safety, it
is recommended to calibrate at least once every three months with standard gas of
known concentration.
Calibrate within a fixed period of time in the detection environment to ensure
that the sensor will not fail.

Verify and correct with test gas of known concentration before use. This
"impact" test is very simple and only takes 1 minute to complete. If the reading is out
of range, the instrument should be recalibrated.

The instrument has been calibrated with corresponding standard gas before
delivery. However, after a period of use, the user should also make corrections. The
instrument can be operated immediately after installation and calibration.
As for the service life of the sensor, the general electrochemical sensor life is
inversely proportional to the ambient gas concentration. The higher the ambient
concentration, the more easily the electrochemical substances inside the sensor are
consumed by the reaction, the shorter the service life, and the greater the
attenuation in the process. Therefore, users need to test and maintain the
instrument frequently.

4.1 Profile description

It is convenient to fix the gas detector on a specific occasion

for continuous monitoring. The external dimension of the detector is
213mm x 141mm x 95mm, and the distance between the three mounting holes

System function tree

The display interface is designed with human-computer interaction. There are

three physical keys on the label panel. Each interface has the function of prompting
corresponding keys. Customers can also complete the calibration and setting work
according to the interface prompts without using the instructions.

6、Introduction to operation interface

6.1 Interface Introduction
After the gas detector is powered on, the interface displays "instrument on",
"equipment information", "range value", "high alarm value", "low alarm value", "TF
card capacity information" and "sensor preheating" countdown.

Configure different detection interfaces according to the number of sensors,

including single gas, two gases, three gases and four gas interfaces

single gas interface two gas interfaces three gas interfaces four gas interfaces

6.2 Modify transmitter RS485 communication address

In the detection interface, press the middle button to enter the address
modification interface. No password is required to log in to the interface. If there is
no operation in 60 seconds under the interface, it will automatically jump back to the
detection interface.

In the transmitter address modification interface, you can

modify the transmitter address by pressing the left and right buttons, and the new
address will be automatically saved.

6.3 Access menu password

In the detection interface, press the key (menu) on the right to

enter the password input interface. After power-on and reset, the password is
required to enter the main menu interface for the first time, and no password is
required for the second and later access.
The password is initialized to "0000". Enter "1234" as prompted to enter the menu
interface.

7、Menu introduction
There are six main menus under the menu interface: "instrument calibration",
"sensor", "alarm setting", "data storage", "instrument setting" and "about the
machine". You can move the cursor to enter the required operation interface

according to different needs.

8、Calibration method
You can select "absolute zero" and "span calibration" under the instrument
calibration menu.

Note: The calibration process needs to pay attention to the size of the ADC, and the
full scale ADC should not be greater than 20000.
ADC value: the number after the signal size of the sensor is converted.

8.1 Calibration process description

Absolute zero point correction - 60 seconds after filling with bottled air
or nitrogen
Calibration of standard gas – 30 seconds after using standard gas
(For most sensors, the countdown time is 30 seconds, and for some
special sensors, the countdown time is longer.)

8.2 Check
Connect the gas detector to the standard cylinder through the flow-type
cover, gas pipe and pressure reducing valve.
Warning
All newly purchased instruments must be calibrated with standard
gas of known concentration before being used for the first time.
In order to maximize safety, it is recommended to calibrate at
least once every three months with standard gas of known
concentration.
.

The gas detector is calibrated by the two-point calibration method. First,

"absolute zero calibration" is performed, that is, the instrument zero is calibrated
with clean air. Then, calibrate the second point of the instrument with a standard gas,
that is, a gas of known concentration. The recommended standard gas shall be
determined by the detection range of the product. Absolute zero correction should
be performed before the second point standard gas correction.
Be careful:
1:Because the air contains oxygen and carbon dioxide, the absolute zero point
of oxygen sensor and low range carbon dioxide sensor can only be corrected with
pure nitrogen.
2:According to the characteristics of the sensor, oxygen is
required to participate in the reaction process of the catalytic
combustion sensor, so the balance gas in the standard gas for
measuring combustible gas using the catalytic combustion
principle must be air.

8.3 Materials required for calibration

To calibrate the instrument, users need to prepare two bottles of
gas (zero standard gas and standard gas) pressure reducing valve, gas pipe
and calibration cover.
The gas detector is connected with the gas cylinder through the calibration
connector.
It is allowed to use the computer to send commands for calibration through RS485
bus or use keys and infrared remote control to calibrate on site.

8.4 Zero calibration:

Toxic and harmful gas: the gas detector is powered on in clean air,
and enters the "instrument calibration" to select the channel to be
calibrated after the countdown is completed. Enter the calibration
interface
Select "absolute zero point" and click "enter"

The program prompts whether to perform zero point calibration. If you

are sure to perform it, click "OK". The program will perform the zeroing
operation of the channel.
Oxygen sensor: The oxygen sensor cannot perform "absolute zero"
operation in the air, and there is 20.9% VOL of oxygen in the air. The
oxygen sensor needs to be filled with pure nitrogen (99.99% VOL) before
performing the "absolute zero" calibration, and can be operated only after
the oxygen in the structure is completely replaced.

8.5 Span calibration:

For the instrument calibrated at two points, the concentration value
of the standard gas should not be less than 10% of the instrument's range,
otherwise the measurement value of a large range of a section may have
a large error. It is recommended to use more than 50% of the full range
of gas for calibration.
The method is as follows:
1:Connect the calibration gas circuit, power on the instrument and
wait to enter the calibration interface.
2:After entering the calibration interface, set the data in the range
calibration to be consistent with the concentration of the
standard cylinder.

3:Release the standard gas and adjust the gas flow to 300 ml/min.
Observe the change of instrument ADC at this time. Click "Confirm"
when the ADC value is stable and will not rise
8.6 Introduction to other operations
8.6.1 Sensor information operation

"Volatile gas type": the factory default display is VOC, but the user can choose to
display the actual gas name.
"Volatile gas compensation coefficient": there are hundreds of volatile gases, and the
reaction coefficient of each gas is different. The manufacturer shall calibrate
according to isobutylene during production. If the user can determine the
composition of the target gas when using it, he can modify the reaction coefficient by
himself. For example, to measure benzene, the coefficient should be modified to
0.53."Combustible gas type": if the instrument is a combustible gas detector, the
default gas type is EX. Users can modify it to methane or propane.

8.6.2 Alarm settings

"Alarm limit": the high alarm point and low alarm point values of the instrument can
be modified.
"Alarm channel": the alarm of the instrument is allowed. If the channel authority is
cancelled, any change in the gas concentration value of the channel will not trigger
the alarm, that is, the alarm limit is invalid.

8.6.3 Data storage

The gas detector has the storage function, but the TF card required for storage is
not a standard configuration and needs to be purchased by the user.
The user can set the time interval for data storage, with a minimum interval of 2
minutes.
Users can browse historical data on this machine, or pull out the TF card and use the
card reader to find the root directory of the disk where the TF card appears. There is
an RT under the folder "HISTORY_DATA"_ The excel file of record can be opened
directly to view historical data.

Note: The TF card should not be larger than 64G. The storage capacity of an
instrument stored in 2 minutes for one year will not be greater than 4G. The saved
EXCEL file is too large to open. It is better to back up the data once a year and format
the TF card before reuse.

8.6.4 Instrument setup

In the instrument setting menu, there are "date and time", "language setting",
"display setting", "current function", "restore factory" and other functions.
The date and time of the user who needs to store historical data need to be set
correctly. In addition, there is a 3V button battery (CR1220) on the motherboard that
needs to be replaced for two years. This battery is used to ensure that the internal
clock can operate normally when the instrument is powered off.
After a long time of use, the current output function may have some drift. If the
accuracy of use is affected, you can enter the "Current function" to re-correct the
output accuracy of 4mA and 20mA.

9、About this machine

About this machine, there are two submenus of "instrument information" and
"import probe information"
The "instrument information" contains the version number and hardware serial
number of the instrument software。
"Import probe information": refers to the information of the digital probe read by
the instrument.
Since the gas detector design follows the digital concept, the gas conversion
data measured by the sensor has been completed in the digital probe. When
the new digital probe is used to communicate with the probe, the configuration
parameters of the digital probe need to be imported.

10、Design theory
Each gas detector uses a digital probe and can support a complete

range of sensors (electrochemical, combustible, infrared and PID are

supported).

The combustible gas sensor adopts the latest generation of carrier

catalytic elements with low power consumption and high anti-interference.

It forms a detection bridge circuit with two fixed resistors. When the

combustible gas in the air diffuses to the surface of the detection element,

the flameless combustion will be carried out rapidly under the action of the

catalyst on the surface of the detection element, and the reaction heat will

increase the platinum wire resistance value of the detection element, and

the detection bridge circuit will output a differential pressure signal. The

magnitude of this voltage signal is directly proportional to the concentration

of combustible gas.

The oxygen sensor applies the principle of Gavanni galvanic cell. Its

structure is to install the anode (lead) and cathode (silver) in the galvanic

cell, which are separated from the outside by a thin film. When the

oxygen-containing gas in the air reaches the cathode through this thin

film, the oxidation-reduction reaction occurs. The sensor will now have a

millivolt voltage output that is proportional to the oxygen concentration.

The toxic and harmful gas sensor adopts the world's advanced

imported electrochemical sensor, which applies the principle of controlled

potential electrolysis. Its structure is to place three electrodes in the

electrolytic cell, namely, the working electrode, the counter electrode and

the reference electrode, and apply a certain polarization voltage. By

replacing the sensor of different gases and changing the polarization

voltage value, different toxic and harmful gases can be measured. The

measured gas will reach the working electrode through the film and

undergo oxidation-reduction reaction. At this time, the sensor will have a

small current output, which is proportional to the concentration of toxic and

harmful gases.

11、Maintain
As a suggestion, it is better to conduct regular impact test on the

gas detection instrument with gas of known concentration.

12、After-sales service commitment

After-sale service commitment of combustible and toxic gas alarm:

1. The warranty period of our products is one year from the date of delivery
(excluding human factors and force majeure).
2. The products within the warranty period can be returned to the factory for free
gas calibration and maintenance at the request of customers, and our company will
not bear the round-trip freight of the products.
3. For products beyond the warranty period, Party A will only charge the
maintenance cost.
4. The company provides 7 × 24 hours of professional service. The company will
respond within 4 hours after receiving the customer's notice and issue a solution
within 24 hours.
5. Generally, the normal service life of the sensor is 2 years for the catalytic
combustion sensor and 1 year for the electrochemical sensor. The actual service
life of the sensor is directly related to the working environment. The service life of
the sensor will change with the use environment.
6. In order to ensure the reliability of product performance, we recommend that
users regularly maintain and calibrate the product within the service life.
