AMVR FAQs
AMVR FAQs
- All this software are small pieces (AMVR modules) that replace specific internal system files inside the device for
improving media capturing. For install the modules, Magisk software installed on the device is preferred.18
- This kind of software is designed for Snapdragon CPU units only. So, a Qualcomm device is required.*
I have a Qualcomm device or I'm thinking to get one, will I be able to install these AMVR modules on it?
- Due to system lock protection by default, is not possible to straight install these modules. The needed steps are:
- We can support or guide you with needed steps. Also check our catalog for "Device Ready To Go" service: we
can do these steps for you, and send you the device already prepared AMVRed.
Once I have one or more of these AMVR modules already placed on my device, may I use a special recording app?
- U can use the recording application of your preference. Even the default camera application. But we recommend
to use advanced apps that let you manually control all the shooting parameters.
I have a AMVR log curve module installed on my device, what curve should I select on my favourite recording app?
- No one else. When you are running some of our curve built-in-modules, you already has a gamma curve always
running in auto by default (S200 for example). Every app you use will record video with this look (S200 in this case).
Alternatively, you can set an Android custom curve provided by your favourite recording app, which will distort the
look, cause Android custom curve always runs overlapped to Auto curve, limited by TCP1 reducing dynamic range.
If you want to change to a different gamma curve on native mode, check our catalog for another modules.
I have a AMVR log curve module installed on my device, and all my videos look flat and washed, what it means?
Can I share it on my social media?
- A logarithmic curve video is intended for get better dynamics on contrasted scenes or for cinematic look
purposes, but needs to be graded. Depending on the curve inside the module, you'll need to grade it in post for a
normal use. Check for public LUTs in our media channels (Telegram, Youtube), or write us to ask for them to
[email protected] If you take several videos for quick sharing, we can recommend to go
for S100 ready curve, designed for shooting ready-to-go.
Once I have one or some AMVR modules from you, can I use them on my other unlocked Qualcomm devices?
- Not possible. These modules are an exclusive developing due to specific hardware and software version of your
device. To install them on a different device may result in a unexpected behaviour, faulty boot or bricked device. If
you already got some of our AMVR modules, we can bring you a special value for more devices, for being already
an AMVR guest.
Does this software expand or change the stock shooting characteristics of my device?
- Depending on device, is possible to enable certain features, some not. In any case, the camera sensor's
performance can be highly increased when replacing Auto default curve or disabling intrusive stock ISPs. Contact us
first for knowing about your device limitations.
Important info: on each new generation of devices, some of known system functions can be dissapeared or be heavy
modified without announcement. We can expand or replace them in some cases, and sometimes is impossible. For
recent releases, may a few of our development need to pass on experimental phase so we cannot predict the final
application. Contact us for these cases too.
- Unlocking the bootloader of any device is totally legal but in most of cases you void OEM warranty. Anyway,
our expert team is always working on this software on advanced and dedicated tools. We test these modules many
times before their publishing.
- We are still looking for a way to get this service as subscription too. So you will get support anytime from us and
receive our new development. For now, having one of our modules will make you part of AMVR. Stay tuned to AMVR
YouTube channel and Telegram @amvr_en (English) @amvr_es (español).

TonemapCurvePoints is a decimal value that defines the amount of representation points for an Android API curve. “Auto” curve has unlimited points, custom ones
are represented by a max value of 512. The lower value, the worse performance. This info depends on system Android implementation and can be changed in next
Android releases or upgrades. 18Magisk app 7.0.0 185 build minimum required.
