Instruction/Input

The teacher will begin the lesson by discussing measurement and how it is used. Then a K.W.L chart will be created (template attached). The class will discuss the things they already know about measurement and then discuss the things they would like to learn during the lesson.

The teacher will then write the vocabulary words on the board and have the students identify the words that are unfamiliar to them and then discuss the meanings.

The final activity will be a crossword puzzle for students to practice their new vocabulary by working in pairs.
