Concept 1 - Tone refers to the attitude of the speaker and can be happy, sad,
angry, etc.
Concept 2 - Mood is the feeling the reader gets from the story, which can be
cheerful, gloomy, or exciting.
Both tone and mood are feelings evoked by the story's descriptions, imagery, and
choice of words.
Both are important in successfully conveying to the reader the characters’ emotions
and experiences in a narrative. It is possible for a narrative to have a similar tone
