1. How do you change the alignment of a text?
The alignment of text in Impress can be easily set by using the Format menu. 1. Choose the test to be aligned. 2. Click on Format menu > Align > [Make your choice] The choices are Left, Right, Center, Justified, Top, Center or Bottom.
2. How do you change the list to a bulleted form?
It is easy to apply bullets on text. Follow these steps. 1. Choose Format menu > Bullets and Numbering. The Bullets and Numbering dialog box appears 2. Choose the type of bullet (change the tab in the dialog box) you want. 3. Press Enter key. The bullet appears.
3. How do you insert a table in a slide?
Follow these steps to insert a table. 1. Click on Insert menu > Table option. An insert table dialog box opens up 2. Choose the number of rows and columns to be kept in the table 3. Click on OK
4. How do you enter and edit data in a cell of a table?
To enter data in an empty cell , click inside the cell. The insertion pointer is within the table in the cell. Type in the data. In order to edit data inside the table , you need to : 1. Click inside the cell where you want the data to be edited 2. Do the required changes and the data of the cell will be edited
5. How can you bring up Table Properties for a table?
To bring up the table properties for a table 1. Either select the table and right click on it and chose the Table Properties option OR 2. Click on Table Properties icon from the table toolbar. C. Short answer questions(II). 1. How do you rotate an image? Steps to manually rotate an image are as follows. 1. Select the image to display the selection handles. 2. Click on the rotate icon on the line and filling toolbar or click again on the selected image and the selection handles change shape and color. The color change depends on the computer operating system and how your computer has been set up.
2.How do you align an image in the slide using image toolbar
You may align the image from the image toolbar. For that: 1. Select the image. 2. Click on the Align drop down. 3. Choose your alignment(s) , relative to the slide.
3. How do you draw graphic objects on a slide, like a circle?
To draw a graphic object: 1. Click on the Insert Menu > Shape > (choice of graphic object) 2. Click and drag the mouse pointer on slide to draw the shape. OR 3. Open the drawing toolbar from View > Toolbar > Drawing , if not already open. 4. Click on the shape you want from the toolbar. 5. Click and drag on the slide to draw.
4.How do you ungroup a set of grouped objects ?
To ungroup a group of grouped objects: 1. Click on any one of the objects in the group to select the group. 2. When the selection handles are displayed, go to Format > Group > Ungroup on the menu bar or use the key combination Ctrl + Alt + Shift + G or right-click on the group and select Ungroup from the context menu.
5. How do you add transitions for a slide?
To choose transitions, keep the slide active as the one after which you want the transition. Next, follow these steps: 1. In the sidebar, select the Slide Transition icon to open the Slide Transition section. 2. In the Slides pane or Slide Sorter view, select the slides to which you want to apply the transition. If you want the transition to apply to all the slides, do not select any slides. 3. Click on Apply Transition to All Slides button. In the Apply to selected slides list, select a transition.

1. How can you insert an image from a file?
Inserting an image from a file is quick and easy. Follow these steps 1. Go to Insert > Image > From file in the menu bar or if you have inserted a slide , click on the Insert Image icon and the Insert Image dialog opens. 2. Navigate to the directory containing the desired image and select the file. LibreOffice recognizes a large number of image types. If the Preview option is selected, a thumbnail of the selected file will be displayed in the preview pane on the right. 3. Click on the Open button to place the image on the current slide and it is displayed on the slide with selection handles displayed around the image border.
2. How do you select text from within a text box in a slide?
Text must be selected before it can be formatted. Any formatting changes will apply only to selected text. 1. To format all the text in a text box, click once on the text , then click on the border of the text box to display the selection handles. Now any formatting changes will apply to all the text in the text box. 2. To format only part of the text and after clicking once on the text, you can select using one of the following methods: a. Click and drag the cursor over the text to highlight the text. b. Double - click to select a complete word or triple click to select a whole paragraph. c. Press and hold the shift key and then use the keyboard arrows to extend your selection.
3. Explain the Notes view of Impress.
We use the Notes view to add notes to a slide. These notes are not seen when the presentation is shown to an audience on a display monitor connected to your computer. Steps: 1. Click on the View > Notes option in the workspace. 2. Select the slide to which you want to add the notes. 3. Click on the slide in the slide pane, or double click the slide name on the Navigator. 4. In the textbox below the slide, click on ‘Click to add notes’ and begin typing.
4. What is the Outline view of Impress?
Outline view contains all the slides of the presentation in their numbered sequence. It shows topic titles, bulleted lists, ad numbered lists for each slide in outline format. Only the text contained in the default boxes in each slide is shown. If you have added text boxes or graphic objects to the slides, then these objects are not displayed. Slide names are not included.Use Outline view for: 1. Making changes in the text of a slide: a. Add or delete text in a slide just as in the Normal view. b. Move the paragraphs of text in the selected slide up or down by using the up and down arrow button (Move Up or Move Down) on the Text Formatting toolbar. c. Change the outline level for any of the paragraphs in a slide using the left and right arrow buttons (promote or Demote) on the Text Formatting toolbar. d. (d) Simultaneously move a paragraph and change its outline level using a combination of these four arrow buttons. 2. Comparing the slides with your outline (if you have prepared one in advance). If you notice from your outline that another slide is needed, you can create it directly in the Outline view, or you can return to the Normal view.
5. Explain the steps to delete and rename slides in a presentation.
Deletion is probably the easiest operation in Impress, To do so, 1. Make that slide active which you want to delete. 2. Press the Delete button from the keyboard. OR, 1. Make that slide active which you want to delete. 2. Right-click on the slide and choose Delete Slide option. OR, 1. Make that slide active which you want to delete. 2. Choose Delete Slide from the Standard Toolbar.
In order to rename a slide, follow these steps:
1. Right-click on the slide (in Normal or Slide Sorter views), and choose Rename Slide option. The Rename Slide dialog box opens. 2. Change the name of the slide and click OK.
6. How can you use the help system of LibreOffice?
LibreOffice comes with an extensive help system. a. To display the full help system, press F1 or select LibreOffice Help from the Help menu. b. In addition , you can choose whether to activate tips , extended tips , and the Help agent ( using Tools > Options > LibreOffice>General) c. If tips are enables place the mouse pointer over any of the icons to see a small box (“tooltip”) with a brief explanation of the icons function. for a more detailed explanation , select Help > What's this? And hold the pointer over the icon
