Course Title: EIE204-Electrical and Electronic Measurements

Course Objectives

 To understand significance of electrical and electronic measurements


 To learn different measurement procedures of various physical quantities
 To gain knowledge about the operation of variety of instruments used in industry
 To understand the balancing of AC bridges to find the unknown inductance, capacitance and
frequency
 To learn to implement different methods of resistance measurement
 To analyze electronic instruments such as spectrum analyzers, Q-meter, CRO etc.

Course Outcomes

 Understand the concept and characteristics of measurement with the error analysis
 Learn about the basic requirement of creating electrical and mechanical systems
 Identify different types of industry-based transducers and instruments such as PMMC,
Dynamometers etc.
 Design bridge circuits used in measurement of physical unknown quantities (inductance,
capacitance etc.)
 Implement different methods of resistance measurement used in industry
 Analyze and operate different electronic instruments such as waveform analyzers, CRO etc.
