How do Vietnamese people address their elders?

Explain the etiquette and

what foreigners (người nước ngoài) can do to be polite with elders.

There are many ways to address the elders in different countries but in this essay I
will discuss about the things that Vietnamese people do.

Firstly, the younger have to say “Hi” or “Hello” to the elders to show their respect
when they meet. It is the tradition in Vietnam, people have to learn it when was a
children. Secondly, it is in the table manners. The elderly can eat first and the
younger must say something like the waiter do when they bring food, and drinks for
the guests.

What foreigners can do to be polite to elders? It’s easy, just look at some child. Look
at what they do when meet the elders and their attitude at that moment. Foreigners
can try it again and for sure they will be given compliments by the elders.

In condition, there are a lot of things that Vietnamese people address their elders
but I think these are the essential first.
