Ques 44 Two friends Vicky and Ricky started business together. They decided to share their capitals
together depending up on the variable expenditure. The capital of the two partners together is given
by polynomial 6x² + 11x – 35, which is the product of their individual share factors. Based on the
above information answer the following questions-

A) Find the total expenditure of Vicky and Ricky when x=10 (in Rs.)
B) Find the share of Vicky and Ricky individually
C) Find the value of x when shares are equal.
D) Find the sum of their expenditures.
E) The value of x, when their total share is equal to 0.

Ques 45 Veena and Reena are two good friends studying in class IX in the Same school. Their
mathematics teacher has just finished teaching the Chapter- Number System. To test each other’s
concept on the same chapter. They were playing with numbers by asking each other riddles with
numbers.
Veena says,” A natural number when raised to the power 4 of its 4th root Multiplied to its 3rd root and
the resultant is again multiplied to its power Raised to 2/3 then the result is 4.”
Then Reena tells Veena,” A natural number raised to the power – ¾ and the New number’s 4 th root is
raised to the power – 4/3 and the resultant is raised To the power 4. The result comes out to be 2.”

(a) What will be the mathematical equation of veena’s riddle if the natural number is x?
(b) What is the result of the simplification of the above expression?
(c) What is the natural number Veena was talking about?
(d) What will be the algebraic equation of Reena’s riddle if the number is x?
(e) What is the natural number Reena was talking about?
