Lab Work Offline-Configuration

Starting situation: Any

Task 1 Adding a drive unit using the project wizard

Project wizard Use the project wizard to create a new project by the name “labwork 1”, omit the
step “setting the PG/PC-interface” and add a new drive unit SINAMICS S120
CU320 / V “latest version” / address: 13 by the name “S120_offline“.

Configuration Configure the following drive unit (it is not matching the training unit!) via
”Configure drive unit” (data not specified can be configured at will):
- No option module
- Infeed with DRIVE-CliQ-connection: Active Infeed, 380-480V, internal
air cooling, 16kW
- Line/DC-Link identification at first switch-on / 400V, 50Hz
- No line filter, no voltage sensing module, no braking module
- Free telegram configuration with BICO
- Drive 1: Servo
- extended setpoint channel, speed control with encoder
- power unit: DC 600V, internal air cooling, single motor module, 18A
- Standard motor from list: 1PH7103-4NG31-0H41 (2000 rpm, 7 kW)
- without holding brake
- Encoder 1 = motor encoder: sin/cos-encoder; 2048 incremental

Compare the project tree which has been generated with the configuration you
have just carried out.

New component Supplement a terminal module TM31 within the group Input/Output
component.
Analyze the Project Set Topology (S120_offline > Topology ) both in display
mode ”only Drive CliQ components“ and ”all components“ and complete the
drawing below to show the drive CLiQ wiring:

Task 2 Supplementing a drive system with an additional drive

New drive Insert a second drive via “Insert drive“:

- Drive 2: Servo
- no function modules, speed control with encoder
- power unit: DC 600V, internal air cooling, single motor module, 3A
- Standard motor from list: 1FK7022-5AK71-1HA3
- without holding brake
- Encoder 1 = motor encoder: EnDat absolute, 512 S/R
- Encoder 2: Resolver, no. of pole pairs = 3, resolution = 4096 (Æ details)

Again analyze the Project Set Topology (S120_offline > Topology ) both in
display mode ”only Drive CliQ components“ and ”all components“.
Changing the Port For testing purposes change the position of TM31 from Port 3 to Port 2 of the CU
(select TM31, shift the TM31 while keeping the left mouse key pressed to the
new destination) and complete the drawing below to show the drive CLiQ wiring:

Task 3 Component and object numbers of the drive unit

In the overview as prepared, assign the numbers allocated by the system to the
drive components and drive objects.
To do so, use information provided by STARTER as suggested:
Components - S120_offline > Configuration > Version overview
- Topology-menu and Configuration menus

L During configuration, a number was assigned to each drive

component (hardware unit).
You need this information to:
- read the topology of the DRIVE-CLiQ wiring
- assign displayed faults to the hardware component concerned
- update the firmware of individual components (if necessary).

Objects - S120_offline > Configuration > PROFIBUS-message frame

- Configuration menus

L During configuration, a number was also assigned to each

drive object (software unit).
You need this information for:
- parameterization, communication and software functionality
L Using the expert lists of the drive objects the object and component
numbers can be found via parameters as well (partly access level 4
required; code xxxxx)
Component-no.: power unit p0121 encoder p0142
motor p0131 TM31 p0151
encoder interface p0141 TB30 p0161

Task 4 Copying and adding objects and components

L You can copy objects and components of a drive unit along with all
their properties and add them to the same or any other drive unit
(if the hardware structure permits).

Copy an Object Copy drive_2 of your project S120_offline and insert it as drive_3 on port 2 of
the CU into your project:
- select object drive_2 in the project tree
- right mouse key (RMK) Expert > Save project and Export object
- define the target directory / OK
- in the target drive unit, select the group to which the component is
to be added (i.e. drives)

Import an Object - (RMK) Import object

- Select the source directory and the object to be imported (drive_2) >
Open > OK
Æ the imported object (drive_2) is added to the drive unit
(with a different name, refer to XML- status display in bottom line)
assigned name: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Open the topology tree

- the imported object is included in the topology tree

Add an Object L if the imported object has not been added to the topology tree
automatically, you will find it in the component depot; in this case
it must be added manually:
- select the imported object in the component depot
- keeping the left mouse key pressed drag it up to the
required CU port

Following the above suggested procedure, add an additional Input-/Output

module TM31.
