 Today I would like to talk about my best friend – Trang- who is also my classmate
at university. Trang comes from Quang Tri province and we’ve been close friends for
4 years and we always get on well with each other. She is beautiful with a round face
and long black hair. She is good at playing many traditional instruments. Despite the
fact that her family is poor, she is studious and strong-minded person. She is always
honest and faithful, which makes me comfortable to open my heart and share
everything with her.

In addition to our study, we often go for a picnic at weekend with our university
friends. We often go to Thuan An beach and have a campfire then overnight to see the
sunrise. Besides, we take part in some charity clubs and go to poor villages to help
people in need build their house. That’s wonderful to experience many great moments
with my best friends.

Trang always stand by my side through thick and think (good and bad times) in life. I
love her so much

Friends have an important/ vital/ key/ crucial role to play in people life. They are
soulmates who have many things in common with you and understand you well.
Besides, they will support you in study and life. The most important thing is that

I think that keeping in touch with friends who we know from childhood is important.
They are a vital part of your life. I and my friend talk with each other via Facebook

Well, today I would like to talk about my favorite subject. When I was a primary
student, I was interested in learning English. There are many reasons why I was fond
of this subject.

Firstly, learning English enabled me to listen to and understand English songs, which
was an amazing feeling. Therefore, I tried to practice singing in English every day and
sometimes I performed English songs in my class. My teacher liked it so much

Secondly, I had a chance to discover many interesting things about people and culture
in English through reading English books, and what my teacher taught me at school.

Additionally, learning English gave me confidence to express my ideas in English and


communicated with the foreigners.

Those are the reasons why I loved learning English why I was a child

General speaking, my country has a good education system because it is learner-


centered. However, it focuses on theory than practice, students have to learn by heart
many things. They do not have a chance to use it in reality.

Because now my major is teaching so I would like to be a teacher. I want to pass


down knowledge on my students and help them to be good citizens in the future.

Today I would like to talk about a meaningful time had with my friends

I still remembered that when I was 10th grade student. On that day, after class, I and
Duc my close friend went to a bookstore to buy some books for the fir, and we got lost
on the way home, it was 9:00 p.m at that time, we tried our best to find the right way
and it took us 2 hours to come back home. We talked about everything together on
that day, it was 11:00 p.m when I got home, we explained to our parents the reasons
for what happened, that has been a memorable moment with my friend so far.

I am interested in having a group of friends because we can share many things in life
with each other, for example, when you get in troubles, your group will offer you a lot
of advice and timely helps. All in all, with a group of friends, you can overcome many
difficulties in your life and friendship will make you more mature and stronger.

2/ What makes a good friend?

There are many factors which make a good friend, such as you have to be caring for
your friend’s feelings and problems; you have to be honest and trustworthy, good
friends can be trusted with your most personal secrets, and are honest with you when
they are upset or concerned about something.

“East and west, home is best”, it is true that family has an important role to play in
people’s life. There are many different opinions about a desirable family. Some think
that a nuclear/ small family is ideal, but in my opinion, extended/ large family can be a
wonder one because it has 3 different generations.

In terms / about material lives, parents can work and support family. They try to work
in order to send their children to school. It isn’t necessary for parents to be too rich but
they need to have enough money to make members in family have comfortable lives.

Even they needn’t be so affluent but they need to love each other. Children can be
looked after by their grandpa when their parent go out, conversely, children can be
with their grandpa to chat and play with them, which is good for the elderly. Grandpa
can teach youngsters many valuale things about custom, culture and life. Children will
study hard to have good job and help their parents
They always feel happy and warm to live under the same roof, which is one of the
most meaningful things in life

PART 3

1/ What do you you do to make your family happy?

As a child, to make my family happy, I will try my best to study well to make parents
proud of me. Besides, I will help them to do some household chores such as cleaning
houses, taking care of my sister. Furthermore, I obey what my parents tell me because
they are experienced so they usually give the best advice.

2/ What are the disadvantage of big family?

There are some drawbacks of an extended family. Firstly, many people to live
together need to have a large space. Secondly, because of generation gap, children will
find it hard to get on well with their grandpa. Furthermore, they will have some
financial problems.

Secondly, many my old friend live there so visting Dalat enables me to pay a
visit to them. That’s wonder ful for us to have union party

Firstly, this place is famous for its beauty with many green grassland
nearby Huong rive so it is ideal place for camping and pinic. Many students
often choose it as a familiar place to organise outdoor activitis

Secondly, people also introduce some new entertainment services such as


bars, restaurants and coffee shop. That is the reason why it attracts many
people to spend their freetime there

Thirdly, from this hill you can have a great chance to see the whole view of
city, it’s wonderful, especially, at sunrise and sunset. .....

Today, I’d like to talk about my preferred film. Watching film is not my cup of tea so
hardly do I watch a film. However, on my birthday my friends invited me to the
cinema and we watch the film called “Dear John”, which hold me the spellbound to
the very end. Actually, this film was based on the novel which had the same name
“Dear John” written by Nicola Spark. The plot revolved around two main character
John and Rosy, they were university students, they love each other at first sight, but
they didn’t have chance to stand by their lover’s side because of the war.

There are many meaningful lessons which viewers can learn from this work.
Firstly, for love, it requires people to scarify for their lover. John had to live far from
her darling and join the army. While studying at school, Rosy had to help John to take
care of his mom who suffered from cancer. That was so hard but with the great love,
Rosy does her duty well and wait for John.

Secondly, this film enables viewer to have a deep sight into the tremendous
consequences of war which can leave people nothing but painful and heavy lose.
Therefore, people should treasure the value of peaceful and make the world better
place to live. John had to die for his country and Rosy decided to never get married
and work in a charity organization. This film makes my heart moving. Those are the
reason why………………………

PART 3:

1/ Why do you think people enjoy watching documentary film?

 Well, documentary film is a large source of useful information, which


provides people the current affair and knowledge in many different aspects
life such as economics, history, and education.

 For me, as uni students I find it interesting to watch documentary films


relating my major.

2/ What are the difference between American and Korean film?

Compared to America, Korean films often tell stories about love of young couples
who often come from different backgrounds such as the main female character is rich
and the male one live on the breadline. They fall in love each other and through sorts
of ups and downs, they have happy ending. Therefore, this is suitable for housewives
and the weak gender from all of ages.

Unlike Korean films, American focus more on reflecting many social


problems..............
