Introduction
Our lifestyle has been completely upended by the Website. This has completely
changed how we communicate, to the point where it is now our go-to method. We use the
Web for virtually everything. Purchasing a television, placing a pizza order, spending
time with a friend, and sending a picture over instant messaging are some examples. Prior
to the website, if you wanted to stay current on the news, you had to visit the newsstand
as soon as it opened in the morning and purchase a local edition covering the events of
the previous day. But today, it only takes a few clicks to read your local newspaper and
any other up-to-the-minute news source from anywhere in the world.
Nearly everyone in today's electronic world has access to the World Wide Web in
some way for their consumer, educational, entertainment, and research purposes. Due to

the Internet's growing popularity, companies of all sizes now have a website that serves
as their online platform.

Objectives

This study aims to develop a Library Management System for COMEHI in order
to improve the efficiency and accuracy of library resources, and to reduce manual labor
and administrative task.
It specifically aims to:
• To provide an online system for reserving and renewing library resources
• To provide an easy access to the students, and librarian to the system.
• To develop a online system for the school
• To automate the process for managing accounts of student and librarian.

II. Significance and Limitation of Design
The significance of a library management system to students, teachers, and librarians can
be summarized as follows:
• Students, a library management system provides easy access to library resources and
information, which can help them with their studies and research. This can save them
time and effort, and allow them to access the resources they need more quickly and
easily.
• Librarians, a library management system can help them to manage the library's
resources more efficiently.
• Teachers, a library management system can be a valuable tool for lesson planning
and research.
A Library Management System has certain limitation. Some of the limitation of library
management system include:
• Online Library Management System for Comehi is only for manage record of student
info, book borrowed, time and date when students borrowed the books.

In Figure 2 is the Admin Dashboard where the administrator would manage the
system. Administrator can add book, view book record, book request approve, add
student, view student report, issue book, issue report and log out.

Inside of book record there is a view button, once it click, it view the book details
including who are the author of the book, what kind of book is that, where it is been
published, books price and so on.

In Figure 6 Admin can add student and teachers who wants borrow a book. A
admin just put personal data of a student and teacher except their password. Once it was
submitted, it is directly to the student report.

In this Figure, it shows Issue Book, Administrator will input personal info
according to its needed like, choose books, name, and days. Days is when would it be last
on their hand. In
example. If I borrow a book, I select 7 days as my limit after that , I need to return the
book to the library. Once I submitted, it is automatically saved to the database.

Shown in Figure 10 the account of the user. It has only have request book, my
account, book report and log out. In my account page, user will view the account created
by the admin. Since the user already has the account, he/she may now able to request a
book from the admin.

a. Hardware Requirements
i. A Library management System requires the following basic hardware
• Computer or server with sufficient storage to hold system’s resources.
• Processor to ensure that the system runs smoothly and efficiently.
ii. The specific hardware used in this system is laptop-6V68CNNM with 4.00GB.
Its processor is Intel(R) Pentium(R) Silver N5000 CPU @ 1.10GHz 1.10 GHz.
b. Software Requirements
A Library Management System requires the following Software:
• Operating System such as Linus or Windows. Windows are common use in
developing a systems
• A database management system like MySQL Server. This is to store
important data of the system.
• In developing a system need programming language, PHP, HTML, CSS as
backend and frontend. And framework such Xampp.
c. Services Needed
i. Internet Connection
Internet connectivity is needed to access online databases and digital libraries. In
addition internet connection is crucial to access any online activity that world used
today.

Shared hosting: A shared hosting service provides a simple and cost-effective option for
hosting a library management system, but it may not be suitable for large libraries or
libraries with high traffic.
