Big Data and Data Analytics Case Study

Final Project Instructions


Project Context
In this final project, you are tasked to conduct a data analytics case study that show your understanding of Big Data
and Data Analytics concepts, specifically in:

• Social Network Analysis (SNA)


• Text Mining (Text Classification, Topic Modeling, Text Network)
• Deep Learning (Image Analytics)
• Large Language Models (LLM)

Your team must select a business/management case and analyze it using one or more of these techniques.

The analysis should demonstrate clear business relevance and be supported by management theories.
Team Formation
Class 46-01 : Form new groups of 3-4 students
Deliverables
Format : PowerPoint presentation

Core Slides : Maximum 10 slides (excluding cover and references)

Language : English

Presentation Style : Business Pitching


Required Components
• Title Slide (not counted in 10-slide limit): Project title, Group identity, Students name & ID, Course information, Date

• Executive Summary (1 slide - not counted in 10-slide limit): Brief overview of business problem, Key findings, Business impact

• Business Background (1-2 slides): Industry context, Current business challenges or opportunities, Problem statement, Business objectives

• Theoretical Framework (1-2 slides): Relevant business theories, How theories connect to the analysis

• Data & Methodology (2-3 slides): Data source and description, Data collection method, Chosen analysis technique, Analysis workflow , Tools used

• Analysis & Results (3-4 slides): Key findings, Visualizations, Metrics & performance measures, Business insights

• Business Implications (1 slide): Strategic recommendations, Implementation suggestions, Expected business impact, Analysis limitation, and Future Research

• References (not counted in 10-slide limit): Minimum 5 academic sources, Industry reports/white papers, Use APA style

Important Notes
• Data source must be properly cited

• Analysis must demonstrate clear business relevance

• Presentation should be professional and concise

• Use business theory to support findings

• Include limitations and future research of your analysis


Presentation Guidelines
• Maximum 15 minutes presentation

• Follow business pitching format

• Focus on business impact rather than technical details

• Use professional visualization tools
