Respected Principal,

It brings us great pleasure to invite you to the third edition of Technovation, an

innovative IT event hosted by the ICT Society at 55 Main, taking place from 24th to
26th January, 2025. Lahore Grammar School 55 Main has always been a strong
advocate for promoting women in IT and recognizing the importance of diversity in
technology fields. In hosting 55 Technovation, we are proud to be among the very
few schools in Lahore organizing a tech event led entirely by an all-girls team.

Participation in Technovation offers your students a unique opportunity to explore

the latest advancements in technology and engage in interactive activities that
spark creativity and critical thinking. Ranging across a plethora of fields, from
Robotics, Coding, Media and Graphics to STEM and Business, Technovation
comprises 15 categories for delegates to choose from, providing a platform for
students to showcase their skills and talents in various fields. This event is open to
participation from all O and A level students as well as their equivalents; we
encourage you to fill in the registration form, available on our website.

We believe that your students will benefit immensely from this experience, as it
encourages collaboration, innovation, and will hopefully inspire students to think
outside the box and develop skills such as communication and confidence building.

COMPULSORY CATEGORIES

1.. The Theory of Everything

It is said that the best way to predict the future is to code it.
In Ada’s Algorithm, we’re here to put your abilities to the
test. Debug, optimize, and refine your solutions with
precision, all while racing against the clock. Grab your
laptops, charge up your keyboards, and solve your way to
victory. May the code be ever in your favor!

5. Tech Trials
“You always have a choice; you just have to
make the right one,” and in Tech Trials, every
choice matters. From gripping escape rooms to
investigating thrilling crime case studies, every
detail holds a clue and every interrogation
requires precision.
Manage to tip the scales in your favour.

6. Tape no.55

9. Devol’s Trial
This is more than robotics - it’s a trial of design, innovation, and skill. Build
and program autonomous robots to face unpredictable challenges, from
navigating intricate mazes to tackling precision-based missions. Success isn’t

10. Start-Up Grind
Imagine Shark Tank meets the Oscars, but with a
lot more adrenaline and humor. This is your
stage, your moment to unveil the next big thing
- a business idea so brilliant it could ignite a
global revolution!

isn’t just a pitch; it’s a movement!” So gear up,
dazzle us with your tech, and let’s make the

11. Brignall’s Brush

photoshopping like the Kardashians, graphic
design is everywhere.

 CODE OF CONDUCT
Category guidelines
All decisions made by category heads are final and non-negotiable. Disputes
or confrontations over category outcomes will not be permitted. Respect for
all event decisions is expected; participants must not confront judges or
category heads regarding competition outcomes.
Participants must use their full registered names for all activities and avoid
using aliases. Additionally, only the email addresses provided at registration
should be used for category-related submissions.
All submissions must be the original work of the delegates. Any form of
plagiarism or submission of unoriginal content will result in immediate
disqualification from the event.
Delegates are responsible for bringing their own internet-enabled devices if
online access is required for category tasks.
Any violation of category rules will lead to the immediate disqualification of
the delegate involved.

Harassment
Technovations III maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to, offensive or derogatory
comments, any form of verbal or physical intimidation, actions that create
discomfort or embarrassment for others, and any form of sexual
misconduct. This includes non-consensual gestures and behaviors, whether
occurring on campus or through digital platforms like WhatsApp.
Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age,
disability, or socio-economic status is unacceptable. Our goal is to foster an
environment where everyone feels respected, safe, and included.
Equity
At Lahore Grammar School 55 Main, we prioritize respectful communication and
uphold standards of mutual respect to foster a welcoming environment for all
attendees of Technovation III. Ensuring a space where every individual feels safe
and valued is a key responsibility, one that we entrust to our Executive Council.
Equity violations, including any words or actions that may make someone feel
uncomfortable or disrespected, will not be tolerated.
We encourage all attendees to bring any concerns to the Executive Council,
allowing Technovation III to be a positive, safe, and inspiring event for everyone
involved. To address any equity concerns, we offer both formal and informal
procedures. Through the informal process, participants can report concerns
anonymously. The accused will be contacted regarding the issue. Alternatively,
through the formal route, participants can submit an official report identifying
themselves, which will initiate a thorough investigation of the matter.
It's in everyone's best interest to raise any such issues promptly as the safety of
all participants is of utmost concern. The following information is requested:

1. Date of incident
2. Participant Name
3. Institution Name
4. Incident Description

A signed copy of the form must be submitted to the executive council, and any
issues will be addressed in accordance with the event policies.
In the event that any participant or attendee wishes to file a complaint, they can
report the behavior to the event heads and executive council. Any and all
complaints made will be confidential to protect all parties involved. Any person
who signs the registration forms agrees to follow the event's Code of Conduct
and understands the full responsibility for their actions within the event.

Early Bird Registrations:
Registrations Begin: 11th December 2024
Registrations Deadline: 25th December 2024
Delegate Fee: 2500 PKR
Team Fee: 3000 PKR

Regular Registrations:
Registrations Begin: 26th December 2024
Registrations Deadline: 21st January 2025
Delegate Fee: 3000 PKR
Team Fee: 3500 PKR

Further Guidelines:
Team Fee is waived for outstation teams.
The registration fee must be submitted as cash at Lahore Grammar
School 55 Main Gulberg. In school payments can be made from
Monday - Thursday, 9AM - 2PM.
REGISTRATION DETAILS
Only O Levels, A Levels and students from equivalent grades / qualifications (FSC,
IB, Matriculation, Intermediate, High School, etc) are allowed to participate.
Private delegations are not allowed.
There is no limit to the amount of teams an institution can send. In case a school
is sending more than one team, they must allocate an alphabet to each team to
ensure clear distinctions between them. (Team A, B, C, and so on).
Each institution must have one Head of Delegation (HOD) responsible for the
entire delegation from the respective institution.
Each team can have a minimum of 5 delegates and a maximum of 8 delegates,
including a Head Delegate, who should be clearly mentioned in the registration
form; head delegates are responsible for registering their teams via a Google
Form on our Instagram page/Website. A confirmation email will be sent to the
Head Delegates’ email addresses after submission of the online registration forms
to affirm the team's registration. The registrations department of 55 Technovation
will be coordinating with the head delegates regarding their team.
It is mandatory for all teams to take part in the compulsory categories ‘The Theory
of Everything’ and ‘Anonymous 0478'.
Each team has to take part in a minimum of 3 optional categories exclusive of the
2 compulsory categories. There is no limit to the maximum number of optional
categories a team can take part in.
Each category will have a Winner and Runners up award.
The institution earning the highest number of points will be awarded the Best
Delegation award, while the second-ranking institution will receive the Runners
Up Best Delegation award. The Best Team award will be presented to the team
that accumulates the highest total points.
The point system for the categories is as follows:

1. Winner Compulsory Category - 20 points

2. Runners Up Compulsory Category - 15 points
3. Winner Optional Category - 10 points
4. Runners Up Optional Category - 5 points

The cumulative payment of the delegate fees must be made before the
registration deadline. It is the responsibility of the delegation that the
payment is received by Team Technovation.
2 invigilators from each institute are allowed for supervision. Their details
must be entered in the supervisor form. The invigilators will go through an ID-
check before entering the school premises. Anyone who fails to identify
themselves or whose details are not given in the supervisor form will not be
allowed to enter.
Each participant must abide by the Code of Conduct as failure to do so will
result in disqualification from the competition.
The Code of Conduct and Waiver of Liability must be signed by every delegate
on the day of the event and submitted at the Registration Desk.
The Host Team reserves the right to alter event rules if need be. All decisions
made will be deemed final.
