Setup SOA Runtime

Reference: SAP Note 1043195

Note: Setting up SOA Runtime is a one-time action, so if SOA Runtime is already implemented, don’t
process those actions again.

The following tasks have to be executed on client 000.

The automatic set-up will be used to create the system user which is needed for the SOA runtime.

Transaction: SRT_TOOLS

Step 1: Select “Technical configurationTechnical configuration of SOAP Runtime”

Step 2:

I) Select “automatic setup”

II) Select “Run technical setup”
III) Flag “Use password to create user”
IV) Provide password
V) Execute
Report automatically generates user SAP_WSRT:

Check if the user has role SAP_BC_BGRFC_SUPERVISOR assigned to it. If it is not assigned, assign it in
SU01. The automatic configuration report also creates a RFC connection: WS_SRV_SAP_WSRT<xxx>.
The last three digits in the RFC connection name reflect the client, in which this RFC connection was
created.

1.1.1.1 Define bgRFC Supervisor Destination

Go to transaction SBGRFCCONF

Step 1: Select Create.

Step 2: Give destination name, e.g. WS_SRV_SAP_WSRT (Please note that the automatic set up from
above section will also create a RFC destination. But in this step here, we can only indicate a new
RFC destination. Hence either you delete the destination which was set up automatically or you
create in this step a RFC destination with a different name.)
Step 3: Unflag “create User”

Step 4: Give user name

Step 5: Save

(Use PW of User SAP_WSRT that you defined earlier)

1.1.1.2 Define Inbound Destination

destination starting with WS* and in “prefixes” section make sure below entries are added

 SRTQS_
