Step-by-Step Guide for Ravi to Create an Internship Website

Introduction

Hello Ravi,

You have done excellent work on the Hello Study Global website. Now it is time to move on
to another project. Since we hire mostly interns, this next project is to create a website that
will not only serve our needs but also help us monetize and scale. Please be ready with as
many steps that you can do before the next meeting. Feel free to call me or text me directly
to discuss about this project.

We will use the Wix platform for this website. Follow this guide step by step to create the
site. Remember to keep things simple and test each feature as you build.

Step 1: Setting Up the Website

1. Go to [Wix](https://www.wix.com).
2. Log in or create an account if you don’t already have one.
3. Click on "Create New Site."
4. Choose the "Business & Services" category.
5. Search for templates related to job boards or hiring websites. Select one that looks similar
to our needs.
6. Open the Wix Editor and start customizing the site.

Step 2: Adding Important Pages

Add these main pages to the website:

1. Home Page
- Write a short introduction about the platform and its benefits.
- Add a section for employers to post internships.
- Add a section for interns to register.

2. About Us
- Describe our company and why we created this platform.
3. Contact Us
- Use a form for general inquiries. Fields: Name, Email, Message.

4. Login Page for Interns


- Add fields for Name, Phone Number, and OTP-based authentication (explained below).

5. Employer Dashboard
- Employers should be able to create accounts, post jobs, and view applications.

- When interns enter their phone number, an OTP will be sent.
- They must enter the OTP to log in.

Create two forms for interns:

1. Personal Information Form


- Fields: First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Gender, Nationality, Country, State, and
City.

2. Education Details Form


- Fields: Education, Institution, Completion Year, Scale Type (e.g., Percentage), and Grade
Value.
Save the form data to a database using Wix's Content Manager.

Step 6: Adding Employer Features

1. Create a dashboard for employers where they can:


- Post internships.
- View applications from interns.
- Mark applications as "Shortlisted" or "Not Interested."

2. Add a subscription model for employers:

- Create plans like Basic and Premium, with different pricing and features.
