Designing an Automated Clothes Drying System with Rain and Sun Detection to

Optimize Drying Efficiency Using Arduino.

This paper has proposed a model for an automated clothes drying system for controlled open-air
fabric drying by detecting the rain and sunlight, adjusting the drying process based on the
weather. The rain sensor prevented clothes from getting wet during rain, while the sun sensor
helped identify the best drying conditions when the sun was out.

This research makes significant contributions to energy conservation, time saving, protection of
fabric quality, environmental sustainability, and user convenience in everyday life. It minimizes
energy consumption and helps lower carbon emissions offering an eco-friendly alternative to
traditional drying methods. This study also highlighted the importance having accurate sensors to
ensure the clothes dried properly and increase time saving. The research showed that choosing
the right components and materials was crucial for making the system last and work. Overall, the
automated clothes drying system offered a sustainable solution that helped reduce energy use in
households and convenience.

Developing a Smart Blind Stick with Obstacle Detection to Help Improve Navigation
for the Visually Impaired

Focusing on overcoming tactile obstacles, such as walking in a new place or a large crowd, can be
a great obstacle for people with visual impairments often resulting in injuries to themselves and
limiting their independence. Conventional mobility tools, for instance, white canes, provide basic
touch sensation feedback but lack the ability to detect obstacle at a distance or in real time.

The proposed device has technology of detecting obstacles and it is able to give feedback to the
user. The stick contains sensors like, ultrasonic or infrared, which identify obstacles at specific
distances and vibrate or produce sounds as the form of communication to allow the user to
change their direction.

The use of Smart Blind Stick, have a big impact for the blind users. People managed to develop
higher self-trust and gained better independence while moving in the unfamiliar or crowded
environments since the device was able to feel the obstacles in real-time and notify the user
before he/she bumped into it, thus reducing the chances of accidents.
Real-Time Water Level Monitoring for Flood Alert and Community Safety

Flooding is a major threat to communities, causing significant damage to infrastructure, homes,

and livelihoods. In the Philippines, where heavy rainfall and typhoons are common, real-time
water level monitoring and flood alert systems are essential for effective disaster management.
This project focused on developing a real-time water level monitoring and flood alert system
aimed at enhancing community safety and reducing flood-related risks. The system uses
advanced sensors to monitor water levels in flood-prone areas and triggers alarms when critical
thresholds are reached. These alerts are delivered through loud alarms, allowing local authorities
and residents to take timely preventive actions, such as evacuation or securing properties. The
system has an easy-to-use interface, making it accessible to both technical and non-technical
users. The findings showed that the system provides early flood warnings, giving people enough
time to take preventive actions and reduce potential damage. Its ability to adapt to different
flood-prone areas makes it useful in many locations, improving how communities respond to
natural disasters. By giving reliable early alerts, the system helps reduce flood risks and supports
the development of safer, more prepared communities.
