CHAPTER 1
Introduction

E-commerce, short for electronic commerce, encompasses the

buying and selling of products or services using electronic systems
such as the internet and World Wide Web. It's essentially
conducting business online.
Here's a breakdown of key aspects:
•Types of E-commerce:
• B2C (Business-to-Consumer): The most common type,
where businesses sell products or services directly to
consumers (e.g., Amazon, Etsy).
• B2B (Business-to-Business): Transactions between
businesses, such as a wholesaler selling goods to a retailer.
• C2C (Consumer-to-Consumer): Individuals selling products
or services to other individuals (e.g., eBay, Craigslist).
• B2G (Business-to-Government): Businesses selling
products or services to government agencies.
• C2G (Consumer-to-Government): Individuals interacting
with government agencies online, such as paying taxes or
renewing licenses.
CHAPTER 2
Literature Survey

•Define E-commerce: Briefly define e-commerce, its evolution, and

its significance in the modern economy.
•Research Scope: Clearly state the scope of your literature review.
Are you focusing on specific aspects like B2C, B2B, mobile
commerce, social commerce, etc.? Are you analyzing e-commerce
in a particular region or industry?
•Research Objectives: Outline the specific research questions or
objectives your literature review aims to address.
2. Literature Review
•Theoretical Frameworks: Discuss relevant theories that underpin
e-commerce research, such as:
• Technology Acceptance Model (TAM): Explains how
individuals adopt and use technology.
• Diffusion of Innovation Theory: Examines how new
technologies spread within a population.
• Consumer Behavior Theories: Explore factors influencing
consumer decision-making in online environments.
CONCLUSION

In conclusion, e-commerce has revolutionized
the way we shop and conduct business,
offering unprecedented convenience, access,
and global reach. While challenges such as
security threats and intense competition persist,
the continued evolution of technology and
innovative business models will shape the
future of e-commerce, driving further growth
and transforming the global marketplace.
Option 2 (Benefit-Oriented):
Ultimately, e-commerce empowers both
businesses and consumers, fostering economic
growth, creating new opportunities, and
enhancing the overall consumer experience. As
technology continues to advance, e-commerce
will play an increasingly vital role in shaping the
global economy and transforming the way we
live and work.
