1. Which elements of nature communicate with one another in the poem? How is the news
about the arrival of Spring shared?
Ans. The sun tells the bluebird, the bluebird tells the brook, the brook tells the river, the river
tells the meadow, and the meadow tells the bee. Finally, the bee shares the news with the
flowers. The message travels through nature, from one element to the next, announcing the
arrival of Spring.

2. What does the bluebird tell the brook? How does this indicate the coming of Spring?
Ans. The bluebird tells the brook that the dandelions are peeping out from the woodland.
This reflects the coming of Spring by showing the first signs of new life, as dandelions start
to bloom.

3. What is the significance of the lines ‘That tender buds were swelling’ and ‘And the bee
shook off its sleep’ in the poem?
Ans. The line ‘That tender buds were swelling’ symbolizes the renewal and rebirth of
nature as Spring arrives. The line ‘And the bee shook off its sleep’ shows that winter has
ended, and life is awakening after a long period of rest. In short, the spring season
represents a new beginning and fresh start.

Ans. This stanza symbolizes new growth and the start of a new season, which is a key part of

winter, representing a fresh start or new beginning in nature.

Ans. The chain reaction in the poem, where the sunshine tells the bluebird, the bluebird

news of Spring’s arrival. This highlights how all the elements of nature work together in
harmony and stay in balance.
